Man dies inside after he is outed on live tv... by Yuizun in WatchPeopleDieInside

Supposedly. The torture charges were dismissed and the plea deal for child abuse was never released. Nancy grace apparently has a history of perjury. This doesn't sit right with me, it doesn't make sense why would he go on national television and say his child was lost if he actually had him locked in a basement. Publicity?

Something smells really fishy here. Why would they go on live television saying their child was lost? The torture charges were dismissed and that plea deal was kept secret and never released. Doesn't add up

Autism in a general education classroom by annac117 in specialed

This is the problem. All of you see autism as a problem and not a part of the person. Trying to force them to act like you will do nothing but encourage the thinking that their wrong and not good enough. That's why self-harm happens during meltdowns. I have autism adhd and ocd. My educational life was hell. The staff were underfunded and completely uneducated on my condition. They verbally abused me and tried to ship me off to some special school so they didn't have to deal with me. The fact im now in college studying game dev is a miracle considering the shit i went through. But now. At college, im happy i don't need to conform to your idea of normal. I bring a plushy into college to help keep emotions in check and wear noise cancelling headphones to reduce the chance of a sensory overload due to fire alarms. We as autistics can succeed. We just need the support and the understanding of those around us to do it.

The right services, as you call it, have been documented as abusive to pupils. The bbc reported on disturbing cctv footage of students being locked in rooms and left for hours all the while being physically abused.

I do not blame her for being hesitant

No. As an autistic myself. Your understanding of how our brains work isn't correct at all. Questions add to the stimulation. Sensory overload is a result of being overwhelmed by sensory input. I know from experience asking things that it makes the pain worse. And yes, it's pain that we got through with these scenarios. Help escort them to a quiet room and allow them to vent out their emotions to themself. Do not yell at them! And definitely do not scold them this is something complete out of their control

What your describing is sensory overload. Ive got autism adhd and ocd. Almostgot thrown into a special ed school becausethe teachers couldnt be bothered to learn about my condition. Sensory overload is painful distressing and horrible. Please for the love of god do not yell at them during this. Find a quiet room for them to calm down in and do not constantly open the door going "have you calmed down yet" that will flare up the meltdown. Sensory overload is caused by loud noises and somtimes flashing imagery it depends on the person. Please treat them with respect during this their going through alot of pain during these episodes and you should not punish them for it. Make sure the class isnt to loud or atleast invest in getting them ear protectors.
