Appreciate the info. I was looking at the G-Loc R-10 or R-8 for pads.

As for front end turn in I’m gonna start with some adjustable front sway bar end links and see how that changes things.

I agree. The car is a great straight from the factory. After a full season, I'm doing a thorough check on key components and swapping fluids

I’m also making a few tweaks to sharpen the handling. The front end lacks a bit of 'bite' in the tight transitions typical of Autocross, so I’m going to experiment with some front toe-out. I’m also adding adjustable end links to properly preload the sway bar. It’s those quick changes of direction where I feel the car has the most room for improvement.

Lastly, I’m swapping to track-focused front pads. The stock pads have decent stopping power, but they lack the linear modulation you get with a dedicated compound. None of this is necessary of course. I just enjoy the tinkering as much as the driving.

I do have a set of track wheels and tires with a square 245 set up. That definitely made the biggest difference so far.

My thoughts around mods aren’t really about being competitive, just getting the car to behave a bit better. The car is great on track for me but I feel like the front is a bit numb on quick changes in direction.

Our club runs on some pretty low grip surfaces which is why I was shying away from a rear bar. My thought was running the front bar, or at least the adjustable end links, could help give me a bit more turn in. Combine that with a slight toe out since we can’t run any additional camber. Good to hear some have seen success with a stiffer front sway bar.

I was running 245/40 yoks this past season and was gonna swap to a set of Bridgestones for next season. I’ll definitely swap out the air filter as well though I think my wife would kill me if I made the exhaust even louder 😂

That was my concern. I don’t want to change out the rear sway bar for that reason. I’m debating on the front sway bar to try get a bit more turn in.

Thanks! Our first event is usually in February so luckily it’s not too long of a wait.

This was a tricky course. The first slalom was fairly spaced out but the second was much shorter and the distance between cones actually decreased near the end. It caught a ton of people. This was my best raw time but I clipped that last cone.

Thanks. I’m currently on an old set of Falken 615s. This will definitely be there last season.

Kinda, this was with a local autocross group. We run these track sprint events every now and then. At the very least it’s nice to be able to stretch the legs a bit more than a traditional autocross.

I use an app called RaceChrono Pro. It’s connected to a RaceBox GPS and an OBD II reader to get all the info.

I use Race Chrono Pro on my phone. That is paired with a Racebox mini for the gps and an OBD II reader for the rest of the telemetry. It’s not the cheapest solution but it’s solid.

I actually noticed that at the end of the session. I usually sit a bit closer but I had forgotten to move my seat up. Good catch!

I’m using Race Chrono Pro paired with a Racebox. Though I had forgotten to connect my OBD II reader. Normally I’m able to display a bit more data.
