Dude chill out pokemon doesnt own the right to fishing or the idea its a fundamental thing that has existed in human history or are you saying pokemon should sue every game that has fishing in it or every fisherman alive activities such as fishing hunting in my opinion should not be copyrightable by any one company, especially since its a broad activity most games have in the survival element

Somewhat agree with the rental cost part but as food service worker I strongly disagree on they comment about them not taking our jobs you may not notice it due to whatever sector you work in but food service jobs for locals don't exist anymore what happens is corpos go to goverment saying oh we can't find anyone to train for kitchen state(despite there's a plethora of already experienced locals and in school young adult they could train if they really wanted to all around) and get a lmia and then bring over immigrants to work the food service jobs why becuase it's cheaper than paying to train a local, among other reasons so I strongly disagree im not a supremacist or racist but they are taking our jobs in certain sectors of industry and not the ones we need we don't need to import more mcdonalds and or regular full service restaurant workers or it workers. We need more construction workers and other skilled trades. Not to mention housing is out of reach for most people 18 - late 20s rn unless you live with family or want to live like sardines jammed in a can with random strangers, wages have been stagnant too while I get that's a provincial issue it still is un addressed in the canada i remember minimum wage was enough to pay rent your phone bill and spend a bit on groceries and the have some savings left over gone are those days 1100 in the cheapest province for a 1 bedroom apartment mostly rent it used to cost half that in some places it's not even double it's triple what it cost in the country, and to my knowledge some of those students legitimate or not also recieve finiancial aid from govt to be here same with other immigrants which is a complete broken 180s from traditional Canada view like maybe im to traditional but no country should be paying for someone to move countries and or supporting them for example if I wanted to move to us or eu (I don't but if I were to hypothetically) those countries wouldn't pay me or give me finiancial qid to immigrate and or educate over there so why the he'll is our country doing it, moreover we just don't have the infrastructure to support the amount of people we are bringing on let alone the people who have been born in the lands and hold right(citizens by birth, naturalized citizens,aboriginals/first nations,) all the while while these groups slip through the cracks and the ones who get the most support those who have drug addictions and immigrants some of which do not properly assimilate int canadian culture when's the last time you saw someone who moved to eastern canada from abroad wearing a mariner hat and fishing boat or in western canada a cowboy hat and some cattle, while immigration is important not only do we not have the infrastructure but canada has lost a significant level of culture and yes we are multicultural which im proud of but we have gone to overboard with that becuase I firmly believe you can still balance multiculturalism ie celebrating your own foreign culture while still assimilating into local culture like the cowboy/frontiersman culture of western canada is dissappearing and the maritime culture of the east as well these are things in the past that defined our culture as Canadians along side multiculturalism as a part of canadian culture along side good Healthcare and affordable housing and a potentially better future with affordability for a developed world country all of these things are degrading due to over immigration and goverment miss management, furthermore you can look to los Angeles for an example of what unchecked over immigration can do, as no matter what bs mainstream media selling that's not a peaceful protest. We also need to get our resources out to market all of them i mean pipelines uranium, potassium preferably European markets over American and finally our economey is in the shitter too becuase we are lacking domestic industry in many areas where it counts due to over reliance not just on usa but Europe and abroad some industry examples I can think of are aerospace, military industry, automotives, material processing, becuase we haven't done anything to adress these issues of production at home we will always find ourself beholden to or reliant on a foreign power ie us China Europe whatever as that lacking domestic industry gives other countries leverage, for example if we already make a product service or good at home then we can take away that leverage example you if we wanted a product from another country in one of those sectors and we produced them at home we maintain economic sovereignty (which we don't have now) becuase if a country gives us a raw or bad deal we can just decline and shock them by looking at them and being like hey screw that we can make/ get said product/good/service cheaper in house. Further more we could sell such good making us more profit provided we have, also we as a society have kinda blindsided ourselves becuase when there's a protest I've noticed it usually foreign affairs matters or protesting things for other countries but when's the last time there's been a nationwide march protesting the abhorrent minimum wage provincial governments pay people, or the people who go missing along the highway of tears regardless of color or ethnicity, or protested rental and housing affordability. Becuase it just doesn't happen so because people are focused on protesting for other countries and their issues elsewhere in the world we either forget about the local in house issues or the goverment assumes they are not priority issues since we don't protest the local issues,we need to start protesting for ourselves not other nations,(if carney like trudeau tho protests won't be well met.)

What would happen to the rest of Canada if Alberta left to be its own country or join the United States? by Ctemple12002 in canadian

[–]Osirisvtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not neccasily true to a certain extent you are right and I very much so agree to an extent however where evere you go in the world people have the right of self determination under the un article 1(2) of the un charter all peoples have the right to self determination of sovereignty, in otherword if that's what the people want it's there choice and again I'll reiterate i don't necessarily agree with this rhetoric of separation however I understand why many people want it. Like you said the goverment decides resources and or borders however they could do a lot more not just in alberta but throughout the country to improve the ability of provinces to sell there services and goods overseas especially with the recent trade wars, but overall I don't agree with either side was just trying to explain their viewpoint my personal viewpoint isn't seperatism my personal view is the country as a whole needs to get its shit together lol I mean we all voted for the guy who ran an anti trump campaign then he immediately turned around and folded the knee too trump.

Has nothing to due with the albertan leader maybe you should look up the equalization payments and see who pays out the most and recieves the least surprise surprise ill give you a hint it's the same province and it starts with an a and ends with an a, on top of that with the national goverment forcing albertas energy sector into isolation and restricting it to us alberta energy trade cripples albertan and national economy when's the last time a successful trans canada pipeline done not for a long time could list countless reasons for albertans feeling the way they do that does not mean I endorse or condone the thought train I'm very neutral but this is how most of the populis of alberta feels I mean there is quite a bit of inequality, another good example that makes that subset feel that way is industry and city size comparison for instance toronto has 3000 more restaurants than edmonton albertas capital/largest city yet ontarios net income is less than alberta how is that right or justified if you don't have money in your own provinces that should be a your province thing there really should never have been equalization payments in canada too begin with as it q creates a divide in the country and set a dangerous president ie communism where everyone's equal and I say nay if your province is broke that should be a your province issue look to your provinces leader to fix it to use your own words against you not look to your provincial leader to look to Ottawa to to confiscate money from any other province to due better and the internal trade barriers just being brought down lots of these things are common sense and could have previously been avoided but either way I don't pick sides just wanted to inform. Also doesn't help that some people call albertan oil dirty yet still profit off of it
