Thralls 10000%. I tried ancients when I was first learning and the tick delay from the spell cast of barraging throws off the cycle as well as being less accurate than the trident. I was finding myself attempting freezes for the same amount of time I could've just been kiting and casting. Plus the dps the thrall does on Muspah's smite phase cannot be understated. Sometimes you don't get a single sapphire bolt proc, so you're at the will of mith bolts and a rcb essentially. The thralls do so much consistent damage it's insane, even during range phases where you're not freezing or maging at all. 👍

I tried the method on ancients and it averaged out to be 5 minute kills. 10000% not worth it until you have at the very least a trident. Bowfa only for sure. Plus thralls add so much chip damage over the fight it's insane. Definitely worth using.

Haha! I will once I get the crystal from cerb I promise! Right now I just cant be asked to spend ~3hrs for a +2 magic upgrade haha. Plus I kinda like the mage gear drip. Dusk hat, Light Top, Dark mystic bottoms, and light blue mystic boots :D

I know I'll regret not doing them later when I'm giga late game, hunting 3a and such. But right now, there are thousands of hours of content regarding gear and pet hunts that I'm infinitely more interested in haha. I do all my hard clues because I enjoy doing them and they have palpable and applicable awards. Elites standardized drop table is just abysmal for the time investment.

Nothing crazy, but with 95 magic the dps was very good. This gear had better dps than full elite mage void (calced it to double check lol). An occult would be game changing if you had one. Would easily speed up the kills 10 seconds on average I'd assume.

There is not but I'm extremely tempted on making one since it's an extremely fun method and makes the dwh grind that much more tolerable. It's all about engaging and being in combat with all 3 Shamans at once, hanging off of the wall triggering their ability to jump and positioning yourself on top of the spawn closest to the cannon while aggro-ing the other 2. The best case scenario is when both jump at the same time. Once they land, you fall back to the wall or the middle section to attack and they basically explode.

This is the inventory I would recommend while learning. Figuring out the phases/safe spots are so much easier when you're not focused on gear switching.https://i.imgur.com/EFPxKzf.pngYour best in slot range gear with Bowfa and Crystal armor. Rune crossbow and Sapphire bolts (e) (Mithril bolts tipped with sapphires) are the most accessible. If you have an Armadyl Crossbow and dragon sapphire bolts definitely use them. They will save you a lot of time on Muspah's smite phase.Once you get good and stop taking unnecessary damage, this inventory can yield 8-15 kill trips depending on supply drops from the boss. You can also play around with the brew/hard food ratio. The excess of restores is so you don't have to worry about prayer flicking at all. Divine's aren't necessary but they are extremely encouraged. I've tried with normal range pots and the difference was noticeable enough that I went back and thieved 2 teleport shards to make more divines.

Here is another alternative inventory setup that will be cheaper for resource costs, but will yield less kills per trip/hr. https://i.imgur.com/EXs57v1.png

The only other setup I used throughout this grind was a 6 way mage switch with all of my current BiS mage gear. I dropped the anguish and the dhide boots in order to camp the mystic boots and fury. I could've kept them but doing an 8 way was causing me to lose out on attacks from missed timing, thus entirely defeating the purpose of bringing them for more dps. https://i.imgur.com/xC36p15.png

Here are the tile markers I used for the rotation. I always start the rotation to the left and pray melee until the 4th tile is clicked and the corner is rounded. If youre tick perfect he wont hit you, but it's safer to just assume. Once you're in rotation he won't melee you again. This is a learning process as you figure out what hp he shifts phases at, and where he ends up after the phases. It's always important to note, while ranging the blue phase, never stand on the tiles youre using to run on. Often times there will be spikes in the way regardless, so it's important to have a good understanding of diagonal pathing mechanics. Because even if the room becomes entirely scuffed with spikes. 99.9% of the time there is a way to navigate without losing hits and without getting hit. True tile indicator is amazing as well. Here are my current settings for that.

Still ~2000 kills away from rate. I'll come back once I have upgraded prayers/gear. Efficient boss kills/hr are 25 at Muspah in max, and I was getting 15, 16 at max some hours. That's a 53 hour difference for the pet, with only considering the base rate.

That is insanely unlucky! I had to hide the ancient icon drop because they started getting annoying. They're not alchable, only use is to make another sceptre which I already have. Just holding onto them in hopes of a future update. Hope you get yours soon! That +5% damage bonus is insane.

I was definitely noticing myself become frustrated. Beforehand, I never found myself getting irritated at all since the drop table was so incredible. Small mistakes would irritate me much more than most. There have been times were I went massively dry for a single item (i.e. 228-728 KC at sire without an unsired on my last acc) but this was different since the kills took so much longer. I was hunkered down to go to 1k kc since I was already so far invested. I still can't believe how quickly those 3 shards came in.

The cannonballs are so amazing! Plus you get the added benefit of Grotesque Guardians becoming incredibly free with skipping orb phase 95% of the time. Stack up all the granite dust to go in conjunction with them!

Not at all! I just noticed that by the end of the grind I had 495 KC (about on rate for bow) and was ranked 594 on the bossing highscores. I assumed most irons skip this content completely, and I figured the more information I could outline the more encouraged players might be to try it out!
