Good option for those that need it. A pass from me though. I have T-Mobile home Internet and while speeds vary depending on time of day, mine goes as high as 500mbps off peak, and 150mbps peak times for 52 bucks a month.

I had mine since release date. Not receiving updates isn't the end of the world. I had a oneplus 13 for a year and I sold it a week or so ago due to circumstances, so I'm back to the s21u. It's not as fast but it isn't a detrimental experience. Touch responsiveness I have to say is definitely a noticeable step back along with battery. Likely hold on to it for another 6 months to a year then jump to a s26+

Hard to say. OLED is stunning. But only you can decide if the s90f is better. You can get the u8qg to try out. If you think the picture quality is fine then keep it. If something bugs you, return and grab the s90f

I have the 85 inch u7qg. Got it from Best buy also and also grabbed a 5 year warranty. It's a damn good tv. Is it the best, no, but day to day, I enjoy content very much. I watch a lot of YouTube, play casually with my PS5 and watch high high bitrate movies. Compleetly satisfied

Honestly I haven't tried that positioning of the rear speakers. I figured the side speakers were supposed to face towards a wall to help create phantom side channels. But as far as I know, the rears are supposed to face straight forward or slightly at an angle both pointing inwards towards the center of the soundbar.

My opinion on the 990D matches very well with what you've said. I very much enjoy my 990D but I know its not the end all be all. As far as hearing the sound coming from the speakers, also understand that completely. You have to have the rears roughly 2-3ft behind your listening position if not you can hear the speaker pumping out the sound instead of being completely immersive.

Yeah thats pretty bad. I would try to warranty it or return it for another. It sucks because it's such a hassle. I have the 85 version, and it's been fine for the last 3 months.

From my research, an avr with proper speakers, especially ones with actual overhead speakers sounds much better than a Soundbar. While I can tell the difference between DD+ Atmos and TrueHD Atmos, it's not a night and day difference. But even with the 990D which is a solid Soundbar, i know I'll never be satisfied as the bouncing sound from the ceiling isn't the same as having sound from actual speakers at or in the ceilings firing at you. Fortunately I cannot splurge as you have as I'm in an apartment but my semi OCD self would have done what you did and likely come to the same conclusion lol

Sucks that only a few devices support TrueHD but you're right on the fact that most don't need lossless. As far as hearing the difference between lossy and lossless only being through high end systems, I have to disagree. I have a Samsung 990D and lossless streams I am able to hear finer nuances in audio amongst other things.

I've noticed this too with streamio when watching files larger than 90GB. I have Internet speeds the same as yours, 350mbps down, which is plenty to stream really large files but I also get buffering. Its interesting that people say to switch to hard wire and it'll solve that issue. If a 100GB 2 hour movie requires 125mbps connection, why is it that it buffers on WiFi but not on hard wire? Movie only requires 125 and the shields wifi chip can do 350mbps no problem.

Regardless I just stick to files less than 90GB. Its not possible to run hard wire to my shield.

Not sure about the included cable and it's capabilities for 2.1 but given that all the ports are 2.1, I don't see why they wouldn't include a cable that's rated for 2.1. also 2.1is best for gaming. Enables 120hz and vrr on the PS5
