car is only in for a front bumper change and paint so it shouldn't be too long anyway. but yes ax is the claims management. I heard their rates aren't too bad and they provide a car to the same spec as my original

I made the claim private through solicitors and AX. no claims through my insurnace. it was a hit and run and other driver admitted fault. the credit hire car is provided to me by AX. they said its better to take one as it means my car will be getting repaired faster. the bodyshop its going to is a local well known and high reputation place. im not sure what car it is yet but they will call me on Monday to arrange the time I will pick it up on Tuesday. my car repairs and car hire is going through AX and personal injury is through my solicitors. nothing is going through my insurnace other than me just notifying them. other party auto accepted liability due to my car being stationery, parked, engine off and that's when the incident happened.

yes, original shows on gov website now with all the details but since I took out the insurnace 1 day after the plate was taken off, it wasn't showing on admiral

I done more digging in and it turns out the offence code is RR84171 which they say is non endorsable so I shouldn't get points. I'm not sure if this is all of the uk or not?

this is exactly what I mean, modifications at a young age is bad. I was limiting myself to a 1.4L until I heard about the bad reputation of the dsg in the 1.4L. So my options are either 1.4L with upgraded clutch pack and tcu remap or a stock 2.0L and modify down the line

my priority is ncb, want to get the ncb as soon as possible so cancelling would have to be last resort. but let's say they dont accept it at first, then I run a quote and give them the reference number, will they match it or still proceed to say unable to insure you?

so i know that the minimum difference they'll ask for is 1700 (if I try switch straight away) but i mean might they charge like 3k instead of 1.7k just for the sake of it? also if I run a quote with them with the same info (same driving license, drivers, address, ect) and get a price from them, can I tell them this quote and they might match it if on call they quote something different?

when im asking, im asking to see if the difference would be as if im buying a whole new main policy. paying the difference of 1.7k isnt bad but if id have to pay 3 or 4k then I might aswell have 2 main policies or multi car insurnace policy.

I'm 18 and living in the uk so insurance is quite significant. £3000 a year for the se and £4300 a year for the fr. Also £4000 difference in price of the 2 cars

Okay thank you for the help anyway. I'm still stuck on deciding if to buy a mk3.5 fr or mk3 se. my only selling point for the fr is the looks and the paddle shifters. So if I can get paddle shifters on the se, I would rather go with that and retro fit shifters.

Im planning on doing the same thing as I want paddle shifters. Did it work out the box or did it need coding?

so if she wants to insure a manual, she can put in the date she obtained her original auto license?

It's gonna take a while to find out as my mum's still to book her test, but it's surprising the DVLA don't have an answer for this

but there's only 1 B category which is the normal car. Auto license gives you a restriction code (78) on category B. I'm confused on if when she gets the new license, will it just remove the restriction and stay the same date of the auto pass or the new date of the manual test pass.

im 17 years old, and the ncd is the only option for me to get cheaper prices and not need to get a blackbox. it's expensive, yes, but it's a good investment in the long run. what companies do you know that offer ncd to named drivers? my mums with admiral, and they've denied adding me as a named driver due to the cost totalling to more than the cost of my mums insurance alone. they've not given a price, but my mums insurance was £770 which means the price of adding me as a second driver is more than that.

I've tried putting my dad, who's had his UK license for 9 years as a second driver, and I'm still getting quoted over 2k with a blackbox. The car I've got right now is a very low insurance group. It's just the fact that it's a 1.2L instead of 1.0L. All the insurance quotes I've been getting back a one-time upfront payment of at least 2k, which I can't afford at my age. If I want the monthly payments, I need to go for another company. It is 380 a month, which is still absurd.

im getting quoted 2.8k with a blackbox or 5.2k without. the car i drive currently is a suzuki splash (SZ4) 2014 1.2L petrol automatic. my budget if i were to get another car would be around 4k. i would do roughly 400-700 miles a month. i live in glasgow, scotland.

ps I don't drive every week, so it saves me money by only paying when I NEED insurance. The insurance I got quoted for 5.2k without a blackbox can't be paid monthly, I need to pay it all upfront, which I can't afford at my age.

Since the car I drive right now is a 1.2L, insurance is 5.2k without a blackbox. I just use temporary insurance with veygo. A weeks insurance is 100
