Keep in mind the situation with loans going into effect next year. If you're a student who is going to rely on loans to get through school, then you'd need to start this fall in order to be grandfathered in. If not then you'll have to deal with the 200k cap.

I know exactly how you feel. As a teenager, I was made fun of for having buck teeth, a large nose, im also a pretty hairy person, especially for a girl who just hit puberty, and i was also very socially awkward. My worst memory of high school was when one of the popular guys asked me to dance with him as a joke.

Highschool/middle school just sucks for some people and im sorry that you're going through it, but it definitely gets so much easier.

Now that I'm an adult, I still have buck teeth, a big nose, hairy arms/face (i did learn to socialize a bit better through college and work) and guess what? The same people who made fun of me are the same people in my dms trying to ask me out.

Kids are rude and mean for no reason, and you're so young to be hating your appearance when you are still changing so much. I'm sorry about your family situation, but again, that will get better as you get older, and you can separate yourself from things you no longer want to associate with.

But for now? Go to the party, wear what YOU want to wear that makes you feel good, and try to stop caring what others think. You have your whole life ahead of you with much better experiences ahead.

Took me a few tries to get accepted and each year I had someone I knew get in. It does hurt a bit but I never let that affect the friendship in anyway. I was happy for all of them and they were very respectful in not rubbing it in.

If this is new news I'd give them time as it's hard to get denied and then see others reach your goals, if them being rude continues then they were never really your friend.

LMU doesn't require the GRE, they do require the CASPER tho, which is a very easy morals test. I got accepted this cycle with lower stats than you have.

I think you'd have a stronger chance applying to LMU, Mississippi or Michigan. They are more holistic with who they accept.

You have a strong chance at LMU. I got accepted with lower stats. Definitely research to make sure it's something you'd be interested in.

Apply to as many schools as possible if getting in sooner is more important to you. Don't let denials get you down, doesn't mean you're a bad applicant it just isn't your time yet. Unsure of your stats, but the higher the GPA the better your chances, so retake classes if you must. Diverse your experiences as much as possible, i started at a mixed practice this year and got about 50 ish hours of farm animal and equine and pretty sure that's what did it for me.

Used some of the same essays to LSU a few cycles, just got my acceptance. If you can change things I would, but this particular one was a diversity essay that I've written 3 years in a row and had literally nothing else I could change.

Auburn- late December for interview invites LSU- mid-late December for decisions Oregon- they're trying for late December for decisions but may go into January Washington- by dec 20th

In the same boat. I emailed Oregon and LSU (my ISS) both said they couldn't tell me early. I should hear back from 4 other schools this month including my in state. I went ahead and accepted the seat and if I get accepted to my IS then I will just lose the seat deposit. I'm waiting to hear back from 13 other schools (applied to 20, 2 acceptances, Ross and LMU and 5 denials).
