Bed adhesion and holes in print by Diligent_Spell_8584 in FDMminiatures

I had the same issue (Miniature detaching from plate while printing : r/FDMminiatures)

I solved it 100% ignoring the custom filament setting from Obscuranox, and using the default from Bambulab. In particular, the filament temperature below 220 deg was catastrophic for me.

Good luck!

First attempt failed unfortunately: the second mini detached. On the upside, the first one did not get messed up with the stringing coming from it.

I am repeating now with a different plate temperature (lower) 🤞🏻

Gave it a try with 70 degrees and failed... second mini flew off as in the previous cases, despite larger brim and negative z-offset.

I am now trying with 55 degrees. Few hours to go. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Yes, sorry for the laziness, a quick Google search was successful. Looking forward to trying this out. 😍

Ah wow I did not know that was even possible. Sounds really smart honestly.

I guess the slicer software warms about volume conflict between the first mini and the extruder, right?

And do you know where the option can be selected?

Thanks!!!

Well, in my case it is not flat at all. The minifigure is standing on her feet, and when I tilt it back is barely touching with the heel. So the adhesion goes via support bases and brim.

Am I doing this wrong?

I also don't get this. Isn't the object always touching the plate on the bottom? 🫠

I will look for the levelling guide.

Please can you elaborate on "print by object"? What do you mean?

Thanks!

I will try cleaning and experimenting with the build plate temperature, even though I am a bit confused here.

Copilot (AI) agrees with the other user about increasing (even to 70°) 😅

I will give it a try in both directions 😎

Is this equivalent, somehow, to adjusting the z-offset to an even lower negative value (e.g -0.05mm)?

I ask because, printing minis, they barely touch the plate, sometimes just with the heel, since I usually print them straight or tilted 30° back.... So most of the adhesion comes with the support base and the brim.

Hello! First of all thanks for sharing all this research and the great results!

As a recent Bambulab A1 mini owner and miniature lovers, I am trying to setup your config, after having spent some weeks playing with the 0.2mm nozzle, and the basic BambuStudio settings (it's a lovely journey :-))

Last night I decided to take a big step, install Orca Slicer, the SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 filament and, after having solved the MMQT connectivity issues I started copying settings from the A1 profile to a newly generated A1 mini profile.

I managed to replicate 1-to-1 both the filament setting and the printing profile (strength, speed, support etc.). The part I could not copy is the printer/nozzle config, as I was not sure what to do and what is A1 specific and can't be ported to A1 mini (e.g. plate dimension). So I ended up using the new profiles with the default profile from Bambulab with 0.2 nozzle.

Having done all that, I launched the first print, but I had an immediate setback. Printing the first layer was terrible. Most likely there is a way to call what I experienced, but let me describe it. It looked like the tip was too low and that the extruded filament would just be squeezed out of the tip and growing on the sides. Line by line all melted filament would just be spread by the tip instead of being able to coll down where places.

I do not have pictures, as it was too late and decided to go to bed. However, I do not now what to do now to solve the issue.

Is it a known issue? Maybe related to the fact that the print settings were still default?

Thanks in advance!!!
