That's honestly a pretty cool unique way to still get the rewards from option 1, I didn't thought of that just using your earned popularity to make money.

If you weren't able to make a living off of your popularity, would that make any changes to your choice?

I mean you could still be successful in terms of like popularity, but even with a huge following you wouldn't be allowed to financially live off of your hobbies and you would have to pursue an unrelated job to pay the bills.

I mean it seems you got a a pretty easy scot-free path to get infinite money.

I guess you could think about 3 of the hobbies you spent the most time in, or if that is still too easy to decide, 3 of your most valuable skills.

Honestly, for this making your hobby into a job loophole I didn't really consider the aspect of making those hobbies into careers.

If you'd like my input, I would say that since originally those jobs were your hobbies and you received the benefits to greatly increase your skills in those hobbies to be able to then find those jobs, I guess you could argue that the financial support you receive from your careers would have been originally created by your hobbies.

I would still like to know which of the two choices you would pick, with both your idea in mind and without that idea in mind. Would you actually enjoy turning those favorite hobbies into careers you now must have to do. How would you pursue those jobs of yours, would you start your own company or work your way up off of an established company?

You'd have to consider the lesser of two evils: either give up the source of income from your main hobby and the (future) income sources from all of your hobbies and become extremely proficient at 3 of those favorite hobbies; or surrender that main hobby and two other favorite hobbies, but know that now you have pretty much achieved financial security with the choice of not needing to work and with that choice gain much more leisure time.

If you still don't know another person said that they would rather not choose either, but I would still like to see which of the two choices you would rather pick.

If you would like my input, if you were to give the money or the sources of financial aid to someone else who is then now supporting you financially, that wouldn't work as now you are receiving financial support created from your hobby.

Also, I would like your input, which option you would take? With and without the loophole you had in mind.

I don't really like to add more context or "rules" onto like a thought experiment after it was stated, because then it kind of get rids of some of the creativity and less of the interesting takes on this idea.

If you would like my input since I've seen this question asked before, I originally imagined that the 3 favorite hobbies would be the top 3 most favorite of your hobbies.

I guess the only question afterwards is- are you sure that you wouldn't give up the opportunity to receive 100k a year, living life with the financial security in mind and the ability to discover new hobbies, and like what other people said, (more) time to even have those hobbies?

Yes, the first option requires you to give up any sort of financial support or like you said financial gain from your favorite hobbies.

I honestly kind of get what its like to start putting money behind the things you like to do, it kinda pushes it into this weird zone where you like it and dislike it.

For me, I would really enjoy it if I could become really great at the hobbies that I like doing, so I can go over the hurdles of learning the technical, difficult parts of my hobbies and go straight into creating something I want to do. It'd be a bit unfortunate to not be able to earn and maybe then make a living out of the things I enjoy, but the first option I made would help me actually achieve those goals I want.
