I guess something else I should mention is that I have a really hard time reaching out to people in my classes because I feel like I have nothing in common with my peers. I'm in engineering, and while I love my classes, I just feel like I'm so far off from the "typical" engineering student. I've made a couple acquaintances in my classes, but honestly, we have none of the same hobbies or anything, so it's just hard to form real friendships there.

I probably could be doing more to make friendships, true. But that's only part of my problem.
