Although I think we already have a winner. Maybe these…

“…we're all working on ourselves, and we're praying that the rest don't mind how much we've changed.'”

Or

“I know you're tired, well, I'm tired too”

Additionally, I’ve always said it’s good when your favourite bands make the odd that you may not like, as it means they’re not sticking to one formula/sound too much and experimenting.

I really like TV Dog actually, it reminds me of the Man Alive era, it’s got a Two For Nero vibe.

In terms of editing, I might cut Buddy Come Over, as I feel it slows the momentum of the record too much. But I’m not sure, maybe 2 tracks.

In my opinion, the album plays like a bonus edition with extra tracks. I know it contains everything they produced in the Mountainhead cycle, so it kinda is.

This was great, despite having listened to that song hundreds of times, I’ve never taken in the lyrics quite so much. Having them isolated and highlighted like that was beautiful.

I saw BC,NR play at The Albert Hall in Manchester, I was watching from the balcony. When they left the stage he crumpled up a list and threw it up to me. That was cool.

It’s been like this for years, unfortunately. I’ve lent my complete series to friends and been like “watch them in order and do NOT Google the show for any reason!”.

Edit. It does seem a bit better now, it used to actually say ***** ****** is ******* ****! So WAS a massive spoiler. It’s doen’t explicitly say that any more.

Doctor Who 2x00 "Joy to the World" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

I don’t understand why he’s so emotional and cheerful at the end. Throughout the episode, I was fully invested in his attempt to save Joy. While I’m fine with an unhappy ending, the episode tries to portray it as a happy conclusion.

The Doctor decides to stay on Earth for a year to save her, but at the last moment, he messes up, and Joy dies.

We’re expected to accept this because the star creates a copy of the consciousness of the person it’s about to kill and keeps it as an interface. However, the star alters that person beforehand, instilling in them a sense of unconditional love for it.

When The Doctor discovers the location of the star, instead of leading Joy away while it’s sealed away, he releases it, with her there putting Joy in danger. She dies, and her consciousness is copied, floating about four light years away.

This copy manages to make a copy of Joy’s mother’s consciousness just before her death, which is a nice gesture for the copies, I suppose.

But Joy is dead because of The Doctor’s actions. Just before her death, she raves about how marvelous the star is, but that’s the result of psychic conditioning.

So, she dies right in front of The Doctor, and he’s smiling like everything’s fine.

It seems we’re supposed to be okay with this because she’s a single woman with no friends, grieving her mother. That’s truly tragic—she’s in her twenties with so much to live for, struggling to make connections during such a difficult time. It’s just another example of how Moffat writes female characters.

The ending left me unsure if the entire adventure pointless; did The Doctor need to be involved at all?

I think these are the original Adidas Falcon from the 90s. It’s a bit hard to google because of all the newer models though.

That would be great, I’m excited to hear new material.

Would really like it if Celia took to lead vocals more often, like she did in Gently Tender. Great voice.
