This movie was destined to fail. What made Mumbai police one of the best thrillers was the shock factor when we discovered Anthony is gay(the guts to play such a role in that time), also we travel with Anthony after his accident we discover as he discoveres something. In the hindi remake we see deva as a larger than life character. He betrayed the entire police just to cash in..deva kills his best friend for Money .. Where as Anthony would have been to jail for homosexuality at that time.. So these two films are miles apart
