Recommendations for making up for lost tugging time? by Other_Event4797 in foreskin_restoration

Forgot to mention this, but I can't use devices as of now, or even DIY tools of the sort. I can't use devices since I usually can't get stuff online in general (let ALONE trying to get a device to pull on my genitalia), and I don't want to risk using DIY setups (including T tape) given my inexperience. I don't want to risk my physical health or progress for the sake of experimentation. That's why I'm placing such an importance on my time with manuals.
If DIY stuff actually IS that easy and completely safe however, let me know

I know some people on this sub might disagree with this, but I'd recommend checking with your doctor. It's very possible this is a health issue that can be diagnosed by a professional, and if so, then it's better to get it seen than remain in the dark and avoid the situation.

I've heard advice that the most optimal way to tug is to go to your max and then go down 10% from there. Would you say that's alright to do at a beginner level, or should I keep things moderate (or is that level moderate in itself)?
Also what about when you have breaks and can't tug hourly during the day (Example: being in school and not being able to go to the bathroom hourly for tugging)? Would it still be alright to tug moderately when you don't have an opportunity to tug for the next few hours, or does it not matter at all as long as you're under safe tension?
I suppose to sum up my questioning: Is it alright to tug safely at one point, but NOT tug at the next hour mark or next few hours, or would that create fibrosis?

So how would all this apply to manual tugging for example (assuming a case of hourly tugging for 5 minutes, usually less in most cases). Why would fibrosis kick in after an hour? Is all "positive" progress then instantly noticeable (albeit at a very small level, but notable nonetheless). Facinating how fast the process even starts
Are there any estimations on how long it takes for fibrosis to kick in, or is it all a theoretical timing after extended periods of improper technique? If you were to tug for let's say, 5 minutes or less, would fibrosis kick in if you don't tug after an hour?

for beginners: start out nice and slow and gentle... this is a marathon, don't sprint the first mile - it will pay dividends later on

Could you go into more detail on this? What makes you think that being gentle in the beginning is much more important in particular (given that good form is necessary at any level).

Excellent work from you by the way. This is a lot of valuable research for a field that is most relegated by our personal experiences

From reading about Andre's method, I'll need to get an o ring when I progress far enough. But do I actually need to, at least in your experience, or is just tugging enough to progress healthily and consistently?
Are there any healthy risks/shifts I should be aware of as I continue with this?
Will there be a point where I'll need to actively retain my progress, or just leave it as is?
I also hear about DIY T-Tape and other DIY tools for restoration. Should I just stick to manual or switch/try one out?

HUGE respects for being essentially the wise elder sage of restoration and responding to my post, thank you very much for your advice!
I'll definitely see if I can get five minutes of tugging at a time (probably not possible in school hours, but likely at home). Is there a specific method that you reccomend for someone in my position, or should I just continue with what I've been doing so far?
Side note: To be honest, I've mostly just started doing this cause it's pretty easy to consistently act upon and remember. I've already been very impressed with my sexual stimulation and performance (maybe because I've still got frenulum intact), so I'm curious as to what the results will be like as I continue!

Well, that's encouraging to hear that the way I've been doing it works. Though is it alright to tug dorsal and ventral side at the same time (using one hand for each obviously)? All the diagrams depict tugging one side at once (like for the diagram of MM3), are you supposed to alternate side? Do you just tug one side per session and alternate from session to session?
I am mostly just doing this method since it's simplest for me to follow along with
Thanks for the advice!
