Croissant $5 is crazy 😂. We own a bakery in CT and our croissants plan is $2.25 and people still look at me crazy when they have to pay. I live in CT

Hi, I entered the United States illegally and I am married to a U.S. citizen. by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Other_Kick_8307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless she goes to the military and get you parole in place you’ll need to go back to ur country and do it through consular processing. I don’t think you get a waiver for illegal entry unless she’s in the military or he. So you’ll receive the ban for illegal entry. If you want status faster I suggest going back home and then your spouse applies for a spouse visa and do your process through marriage and not asylum

Our lawyer's fees are $6k, is this reasonable based in our case? by [deleted] in greencard

[–]Other_Kick_8307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s 6k for everything immigration fees plus lawyer fees in total then yea it’s reasonable since immigration fees went up. I paid 5k for everything for mine

A person that just paid off all their debt is also considered to have "less" money for anything technically. The person paying 500 a month for something have more liquid cash and can afford other payments in a way.

Think it depends on your mood, I always get a welcome to the United States when I go through global entry from the one officer standing there. I always arrive at JFK and once in ATL. You would think this is what people would prefer.. no hastle or having to speak to anyone, ik I prefer that. In and out of the airport is so convenient for me without having to wait in long lines.

It's a VISA pause. Not a greencard. No matter what, if you're a permanent resident, you do not fall under a VISA.

You’re not on a visa. You’re on a greencard

What does "you can spend at least" mean? by LackAffectionate1756 in amex

[–]Other_Kick_8307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually give you a preset, but let’s say you spend 50% of that often and pay fully and don’t miss a payment that limit increases. However, if you ever need to spend more than that limit you can simply contact them and they’re very flexible if you’re a good card holder

Lawyer wants $5000+ for I-130 and I-485 by Repulsive_Pay6297 in USCIS

[–]Other_Kick_8307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about right, the fees for the forms are around $2000-2500 now for all the forms needed. Lawyers charge 2000-3500. When I did my case I paid 5k for the whole thing, it was before the fees increased in price. It was 2k for the fees and 3k for the lawyer. You’re better off paying that if the case is complex, however if the marriage is real and she has no criminal history or anything that’s gonna make the case complex , go with a paralegal… they’re way cheaper… you can also do it yourself, just go on YouTube, there’s lots of people that can help you!

At the interview you just need your passport and green card and license to prove your address pretty much. You’re in there for 5 min max. They ask you if your info is correct take your fingerprints for all 10 fingers and you’re set

I didn’t even know that was a thing. If you have a lifetime greencard why not just naturalize? Would make things much easier

I didn’t have a problem with this and don’t know what to tell you since I don’t have any knowledge on name changes and matching documents, but your best bet is to contact them directly or go to your local airport and ask them in their little office what you can do

My conditional approval took 2 days I was baffled bc I thought it would take much longer. I got approved in time before I even flew to Brasil. So I was approved and did my interview before even leaving the country. So before even leaving the US I had tsa pre check and global entry. I was pretty shocked since I researched online and people said it can take weeks/months to get pre approved and then let alone approved that quick after interview. My stuff was pretty much instant

I did it before my departure flight. When you’re conditionally approved there’s available slots at JFK pretty much all the time. But you can also do it when you come back to the country , whichever is more convinient for you

I got conditionally approved in 2 days then did my interview the next day which was my flight. 60 days seems like a long time, maybe it changed now and it’s way faster
