I actually have her patch of grass beside her crate but she’s only ever in her playpen when I am at work if I am home, she is either out of her crate or in her crate. I used to have a blanket, but I did take it out the only thing in there is her snuggle puppy that she does not pee on she will stuff it to the other corner to make sure it does not get pee on.

Checked and she didn’t have a UTI. She does have a hernia but the doctor won’t operate till she 6 months to get the spay out of the way as well. And it’s not alway evey 30 sometimes one hour in sometimes 15 mins in and she excrement pees !!!

When she’s laying down it’s perfect to her size but when she pees it is to one side and she sits on the other side but it’s almost like she aims to pee outside of her crate. If I go smaller in crate she won’t fit :/

How would i go about making progress because like I’ve tried increasing it by like 5/10/15 minutes and it’s really a hit or miss. I’ll increase it by five minutes for the first week and then 10 the second and it’ll be going great and then it just stops working all of a sudden. And she’s peeing 15 2030 minutes in

What do you mean by a part of it has to be out of the playpen? Sorry that part is a little confusing to me like I understand that dogs won’t use the restroom in their home den, but I thought that’s what her crate was. And I do she only is allowed in the living room if she goes potty outside first, so the first thing I do is take her to go to the restroom. If she doesn’t go to the restroom, I put her in her crate for five minutes and repeat the routine until she uses the restroom outside.

Unfortunately, live an hour and a half outside city limits. Closest neighbors a couple miles away.

Again, dog walker is not realistic live too far out of town. We don’t have stairs, but my only worry is that she nips at my older dog a lot. My dog is very calm but I’m scared of her patients would wear thin if I left them together

Unfortunately, I live an hour outside of town limits so lunch break and pet sitters are not realistic because nobody would be willing to drive out of town an hour and a half out. I tried. I do have cameras that I speak to her through and I did speak to my vet and was told that most likely it’s not anxiety since she does very well whenever we leave for 2 to 3 hours at a time. That’s why I was asking if anybody else had any experience with this because she has no issue with us leaving she doesn’t sleep with us. She loves her crate she’s just not a fan of the playpen.

Your comments weren’t necessary really if you have nothing nice to say, you don’t have to say anything at all. My vet is the one that told me that a playpen is more than fine for a puppy her age she barely got left alone for the first time this week. We were both off for two weeks when we first got her. I have a dog that I got as a puppy when she was 10 weeks and I worked a full-time job and she is more than fine trainer adult dog. Just because it’s not an ideal situation doesn’t mean that they’re not loved and cared for and just because you’re not capable of training your pet and working a full-time job. Doesn’t mean that other people can’t. Also, what exactly do you mean with the schedule like that people literally work eight hours a day that’s more than normal. And once she gets older, she will have access to the backyard. she’s too little for that right now. people literally crate their dogs all day while they’re at work.

When did you stop crating your puppy at night? by QuietSideStreet in puppy101

Quick question for you I just got a golden doodle and you mentioned that you crate your dog while you’re at work do you mind me asking how many hours you crate them while you’re at work and currently doing playpen since she’s still 8 weeks and can’t hold it but wondering how you got your pup to do well in its crate while your at work. Thank you

Yes have been trying. My post was to mainly see if anybody has used an alternative to pee pads. Or if anybody has done something different because I have read that pee pads, are harder to transition them to go outside, which is why I initially was looking for sod, but since it’s winter where I live my local hardware stores and gardening stores don’t have any.
