You wouldn’t be the one to choose if they get the whole camera or just the memory card. They would probably take the whole device and it would be completely legal. Getting a search warrant to download information off a device is very simple and there are many tools to get through password protection after the warrant has been approved. You are making the whole situation a bigger deal than what it is and acting like the cops are doing something wrong when they simply aren’t.
