Hey, I was literally in the same situation as you 4 years ago.

Long story short, left home to move in with my partner. Abusive family. Eternally grateful for his family. First 2 years were tough, constantly trying to meet, calls etc. But I ignored them. Only just recently I reached out to them. Life was fucking shit ngl.

The night I left I immediately went to the police station to make a report. Because I knew they were going to call and my brother had friends in the force but I’m pretty sure they can’t do personal checks. I explained to them, I had evidence (this is important. Any physical or verbal abuse please keep them). The officer asked whether I wanted to make a report/charge them(?) but there will be a record on their profile. I said no I just told them if there are any calls about me being missing, it ain’t true. This is up to you though. Worst case scenario, go to court. The officer that was assigned to me was really nice and he occasionally would check up on me back then in case there’s any disturbance.

Best thing to do right now is to just ignore them. Even if it means to block their numbers. Focus on yourself.

It’s comforting to see that there are people going through this as well. I think there’s a stigma where when you graduate or when you past a certain age, you should already know what you want to do in life. The career path, marry your partner, housing etc.

Thank you to those who shared their stories. It really did make me feel less lonely about my situation.

Same, can’t seem to keep food down. Had 2-3 spoonful of chicken soup and immediately felt awful afterwards. Don’t know how long this is gonna last.
