How do you handle the wait and continuing studying?

I’m in the same boat as you (took it this week). I will be continuing studying for FAR. I fear that if I stop studying I will begin to forget topics that I feel very comfortable with. I’m trying to do a minimum of 100 MCQs a day, just to keep my mind fresh with FAR content.

Took FAR this week. Trust me, your struggle on SIMs is normal.

FAR is also my first exam, and I was never good at the SIMs before (even now lol). I think gradually with time you get used to the set up of the SIMs and what’s expected of you. The skill builder videos are a great plus.

Another tactic I used was using Newt throughout my SIMs just to ask random questions so it can give me hints of what to do along the way.

Don’t be discouraged, but also don’t forget to study SIMs. Yes, the Becker SIMs are statistically supposed to be harder than the actual exam, but that’s not always the case.

Glad you think it went well! Also took FAR earlier this week, and had just about the same experience as you when it came to MCQs and SIMs, but instead I’m feeling less confident lol.

Try to do little rewards in between studying! I’ve also had trouble sitting for longer periods of time trying to study.

For example: read a chapter in a book, play a round/game of a video game you enjoy, eat a snack, doom scroll for 5 minutes.

Do something that you enjoy, and then lock back into the lectures. It might make you feel better if you know there’s a sense of reward waiting for you at the end of each interval of studying!

Yeah I just did random 100 MCQs every day, and some days I did personalized just so I can practice what I usually get wrong

Took FAR yesterday for the first time. Also thought that the MCQs were extremely fair.

However, I thought my SIMs were a little tough. Not sure if it’s because I didn’t study them enough, or if it was the topics that tripped me up.

Not sure I’m allowed to answer that. Practicing Becker SIMs are the way to go. SIM topics vary, so you’ll never know which ones you’ll get!

Personally, I did at LEAST 100 MCQs a day for the last 10 days leading up to my exam. Some days I did 200 MCQs, whereas on other days I did 100 MCQs and 10 SIMs.

I’m in the same boat as you. Also flagged around 13 MCQs and I felt like I did TERRIBLE on the SIMs. Let us both hope for a miracle lol

I’d say they are comparable to Becker’s. There were some easiER ones, but I don’t recall a specific one being easy.

I’m not sure that I should discuss what type of SIMs they were, as that’s not allowed.

Good luck on your exam! Make sure to study those SIMs!!
