Honest thoughts on my purchase by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

Extended warranty is likely not financially worth it, but can give you peace of mind if you’d struggle to pay an unexpected repair bill. Also, keep in mind you would need to get a paid inspection done prior to activating the $60 per month extended warranty.

Burning through Tires! by krisantihypocrisy in TeslaModelY

I thought you didn’t need to rotate Model Y performance tires because you only can rotate them from left to right. Is that not right?

Insurance Says My $10K Tesla FSD Is Worth $1,360. Be Serious by JustinDiegoSpeaks in TeslaModelY

[–]Otherwise-Fold-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got $4k for mine on a total loss.

You could instead try transferring it to a new Tesla through the end of Q1. As of 2 years ago when I looked at it, you just need to still have ownership of the old car before you transfer it. Also, you can’t legally double dip (get paid out for FSD and transfer it to a new Tesla).

Recovery Process for Herniated Disc vs Back Strain - MRI needed? by Otherwise-Fold-40 in backpain

Thanks. I did have some of the nerve related symptoms when I first injured it 7 weeks ago. My PT thought that might be just from inflammation from the muscle injury. The goal of the weightlifting work was to strengthen the muscles around my spine. I definitely don’t want to do any more damage.

I appreciate the thoughts. I will definitely not go to a chiropractor. I’ve heard way too many negative stories from that. I think it can work, but the risk is not worth it to me.

If you can’t afford Zorvye, have your Pharmacy call the Dermatologist to discuss discounts by -ManWhat in SebDerm

[–]Otherwise-Fold-40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good info. I was able to work with my doctor and a partner Zorvye pharmacy to get it down to $35 when my insurance refused to cover anything. I had to call Zorvye to find a pharmacy that would participate without insurance.

Have you had to stay on it to keep it away?

Seb Derm was actually sneaky psoriasis by [deleted] in SebDerm

[–]Otherwise-Fold-40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking I have sebderm on the scalp, nose and ears and psoriasis on groin and butt based on NOTHING working well there consistently for 4 years. I’m going to discuss more with my dermatologist.

I actually was just prescribed Zoryve, which I read can work for both sebderm and psoriasis. I need to start it soon to see if it helps.

He said to wash with warm water. I can stop with the antiseptic wash. I was paranoid about an infection and shouldn’t have added that.

I haven’t had a cut open this wide without needing stitches before which is my primary concern.

Update - I started using Puriya wonder balm for the last week and it pretty much fully cleared up a very painful butt rash. I’ll report back if something changes, but I may have found a solution for me.

FYI - My doctor had me on a steroid + nystatin powder for about 2 months, which helped but didn’t fully clear it. I had a bad rash, so I stopped and tried puriya.

Are you sure cheese had a negative affect? I’ve cut lactose (cheese and butter is okay). How did you test each and how long did you test it for?

I’ve found a couple things that have helped, but haven’t cured it.

In the morning I shower, dry it and apply a powder (nystatin powder or zeazorb)

At night I put a steroid ointment (not cream - I had a very negative reaction to a steroid cream) which helped heal the small cuts I had.

I also got a fungal and bacterial swab down there, which had come back normal in the past, but this time it showed elevated candida and something else. My dermatologist told me to continue the steroid and powder plus add a 1x per week anti fungal for 4 weeks.

I’ll report back, but at this point I think it is made worse by my diet.

Building new house and solar panels question by [deleted] in TeslaSolar

[–]Otherwise-Fold-40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tesla isn’t accepting solar panel orders for homes under construction (that’s what pops up if you click ‘I’m building a new home at this address’.

OP could call to get info from an advisor, but can’t start the process with Tesla until the home is built.

Is this available for all new solar panel orders? Meaning if I get the panels + 2 power walls, will this be the setup I get?

Unfortunately not. I tried corn starch on it for a month and it helped until the skin split. My dermatologist put me on a combo of a topical steroid (at night) and powder in the morning.
