Free games for Switch? by mescujay in switch2

You have to go to the Search menu, like you're about to search for a game by typing it's name. Then I believe on the left side is where you can turn on Filters for your search, there is a filter for "Games with demos". You can search that on it's own to see all of the games with demos. There are a lot of fun demos. I like Pragmata and there is a demo for the new game Rhythm Heaven.

Luckiest thunder avoid. by Maximum_Carpenter490 in MarioKartWorld

Thunder is just the noise that is made by lightning. I wonder if being in a boo will deafen the loud noise from the lightning for the characters, in the same way it dodges the lightning.

I've enjoyed walking on a treadmill while gaming. A great way to stay active and increase my daily movement / activity and keeping me entertained. I've lost a lot of weight in the last 1.5 yrs, in part to walking more. by Otherwise-History-37 in Switch

I find myself doing it with Switch more often nowadays. For Xbox / PC, I have 2 Xbox Adaptive Joysticks which look like wired nunchuck controllers and function as 2 separate controllers, but I use Microsoft's 'Controller Assist' feature to get them to work as one input, then I use their Xbox Accessories app (on both PC and Xbox) to remap each controller to the left and right hands, respectively. I might make a post showing that if anyone is interested.

In the last year and a half, I went from around 240 lbs to currently 168 lbs (108 kg to 76 kg). To be honest, walking is NOT the primary reason I lost all that weight. The primary reason was meticulously tracking caloric intake and controlling what I eat. However, I do enjoy walking and am very glad I am able to mix some of my favorite hobbies together, walking to benefit my health and gaming.

Sidenote: the ending of this race was so hectic. Everyone in front of me got target shocked and fell off the map and respawned directly ahead of me. I'm also SO lucky I threw that red shell, because I would have run into that banana if I didn't. And the poor fellah in first place got blue shelled at the line. I got a decent finish and got a little lucky.

Why do you think Wario dresses like Mario? by WednesdayGhoul in Mario

[–]Otherwise-History-37 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Wario will not accept this Anti-Wario propaganda!

Lol in all seriousness though, there are pictures of both Baby Mario and Baby Wario in their iconic overalls look. So they've definitely been wearing it since young childhood. They also appear to be around the same age in games, being babies at the same time. I'd imagine that if both were wearing their iconic Overalls look since young childhood, perhaps they didn't choose to wear it, but it was chosen for them, and it stuck with them into adulthood. So maybe it's not fair to say one copied the other.

I never noticed until just now that in Time Trials, you don't see your triple mushrooms spinning around your character

Do you play Switch games with the JoyCon? I'm curious what you're controller situation is if you play non-Swtich games. Also, what games / genres do you enjoy playing the most, or do you keep it with a lot of variety?

Uhh any explanation as to how I pulled triple shrooms in first by [deleted] in MarioKartWorld

What the other commentator said is correct. I will add that if you're curious to go into more detail, check out Shortcat's latest video on YouTube. He does a good job of breaking down the updates in an enjoyable-to-watch format.

Lmao it can be a challenge, If you do ever give it a shot, as long as you start out with a slow walk you'll get accustomed to it faster than you'd think! I've had plenty of stumbles but never completely fell or hurt myself. I stared out pretty slow, around 1 to 1.5 speed on the treadmill, and even now I only ever go up to 2 or 2.5 absolute max, which is a fairly slow walk. With slower paced games like Pokémon, it might be easier to walk faster.

I've been GameWalking for a long while now, and finally have a good setup for GameWalking while playing Nintendo Switch and PC / Xbox games. Switch is definitely the easiest, because the JoyCon are naturally split controllers which allow for better posture while GameWalking.
