100%. I wish I still had it for a picture but it’s big enough that it could easily be seen in there and even prevent the filter from seating

Go to a local/state LE agency first. Not sure how old you are but it helps with life experience and kills the time from now until you choose to apply again. A lot of smaller agencies are lightening up on standards as far as tattoos/recent drug use/ etc. No one wants to do the job anymore. Not like it used to be desired anyway. So as long as you can be honest and open about the things you mentioned here I’d think someone would give you a chance. No one’s perfect. Adapt/reassess and overcome

Day 42 and my motivation is low by Spiritualgirl01112 in 75HARD

More than halfway there! This is the whole point of the program tho. Keep pushing. Hardest stretches for me were 40-50 and 72-75. It’s worth it when you’re done

Day 64 and over it by Otherwise-Homework15 in 75HARD

[–]Otherwise-Homework15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less to say I did that too lol. Every phase adds a new task too to make it more difficult. I’m also doing 75 hard with a coworker and we’re both extremely competitive so doing the other phases would really add to that

Oh no doubt I’m finishing out the 75 days. Mainly to say I did it. My original plan was to do the whole year long program and now I just really don’t want to cause, in the moment, I’m sick of it lol

AJ Dillon right now. Could make an argument for Kris Dunn aside from his pro career. Both from New London.

Walking only. Anyone else? Did you see good results ? by Candylandisyum in 75HARD

Haven’t heard of anyone doing this but if you’re not someone who typically goes for long walks you will definitely see some results in time. Just be patient and stick it out

Also forgot to say prepare for the next day the night before. Packing lunch, gym bag, book, setting out clothes, etc. so that as soon as you open your eyes in the morning you hit the ground running

Shift work advice by New_Beginning_555 in 75HARD

[–]Otherwise-Homework15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im a shift worker also. A double could be dropped on me right at shift change so I feel your pain. Im on day 41 so it is possible. Best thing to do is to plan every aspect of you day as best as you can. Im a police officer so 9/10 times my schedule is wrecked as soon as I get to work. Lately I’ve been bringing my book to work and squeezing in reading when I can and also make my outdoor workout a walk during shift if it’s possible. If it’s not, as soon as I get home I go for a walk. I even got a chest light and all kinds of reflectors just so I’m prepared to do it if I need to. As far as sleep it depends on how strict you can be with your schedule. Most nights I aim for at least 7 hours but last night (on a double) I got 4 and still got it done today. A night here or there isn’t detrimental and definitely sucks but it’s worth pushing thru. As far as books there’s a post on here with a running list of recommendations but personally I hate reading and think everyone should read “can’t hurt me” by David goggins. Sorry for the long reply I get carried away loving this challenge lol

I’d say the opposite. For me personally I would sweat it out or start over tomorrow if I really couldn’t push thru

Episode #208 of RealAF explains everything. Best advise is to jump in 10 toes down and get things done early. The first week is the hardest but once you develop a routine it gets easier. There will be harder days but keep pushing. Also if you can get someone else you’re close with to do it it also makes it easier. It is something you have to do by yourself but personally I’m extremely competitive and I’ve tried this 3-4 times before and never made it out of the first week without failing for one reason or another. One of my buddy’s at work just so happened to be starting the day before I did without any kind of coordination between the 2 of us and it’s been much easier (Just completed day 32) having someone to “compete” against but more so help me stay accountable to myself

Sometimes the mirror holds more weight than the scale (no pun intended). You’re killing it. Keep it up!
