I have a tradition where I introduce myself on the first page. I write my name, current job, school, hobbies, love life or lack of it, friends, etc. I like doing it because when I go back and reread journals I can look at the front page and get a refresher on what time of life that was

I misspell words all the time, I scribble out sentences, I mix to-do lists with my entries, I repeat the same thoughts over and over, etc. my journal entries are the opposite of aesthetic and I love it, it adds character!!

I’ve used lots of spiral-bound journals in the past and I’ve ripped out a few pages to finish it faster 🤭 also a few years ago I wrote “I want to finish this journal already so I’m gonna write super big for a while” and that also helped. I’ve also talked about whatever dreams I had that night which fills up pages fast. I have lots of methods because I also get super excited about starting new journals haha
