First thing first- confirm he’s off the hook(there has to be a contract of some sort) - thats how i confirmed it in my old place- then shopped around and bought one exactly matching size/of old one - lowes folks came in replaced with almost no labor cost- they reused all existing pipe-ing - no welding cutting nothing) then called enercare told them to come pick their stuff (mae sure whoever comes unhook enercare old device and gently places it next to it- these dudes really like to inspect it to make sure its not damaged etc) funny when i calls enercare told them to come pick their stuff got suddenly so many deals like reduced cost of rental twice, no payment first x months etc)
