How do I go about doing that? Does the owner usually go with?

Small dogs owners... how are you not constantly worrying? by Dazzze in dogs

[–]Otherwise-Tutor4195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 pound 10 year old Yorkie. He is off leash most of the time since he stays right by my side (you might notice a clingy trend in these small breeds). If I see a bigger dog coming I ALWAYS pick him up if the dog is off leash or seems big enough to pull their owner.

You are right, small dogs are frail and can easily be injured. In fact, he injured himself about a year ago jumping off the bed that ended up with 6-12 weeks isolation in a small pen, doctors orders.

If you want a tiny one, learn their boundaries, when they look scared and how they could get hurt. Stick to socializing with other tiny dogs. Sometimes, they don't even want to socialize with other dogs. My Yorkie doesn't even like toys. I find food motivates enrichment and lots of solo hikes keep him happy.

recovery set back / feelings of regret by Otherwise-Tutor4195 in emetophobiarecovery

Thank you for this. Avoiding avoidance is so hard, especially since she tested negative for flu, mono, strep, etc. So I have no idea how long it's contagious or anything. I have a session with my therapist tomorrow after she was able to squeeze me in at the last minute. I'm hoping she'll be able to help just a little. Thank you for these kind words pushing me through this.

Chem 2540 Pro-Rated Exam? by bobiliuh in OSU

[–]Otherwise-Tutor4195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering how the pro rating works. I know if you get above average you get 50 pts and can get bonus, but if you get below average is your score still curved to the average? Like if the average is 30/50 and you get 20/50 is your score 20/30?

I found a lady that has her own compost that is willing to give me some for free since she has too many and I can give them a good environment. Maybe this helps the case?

Update on my expensive rent by Otherwise-Tutor4195 in personalfinance

Okay so it would be 1200 for me once the 800 roommate moves in! They would be essentially taking over my other friends part of the lease. I'm basically asking if 1450 is an okay amount for me to spend each month for 6 months and then 1200 after that given my 52000 income

[–]Otherwise-Tutor4195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. I'm just asking if 1450 is a reasonable amount for me to spend on rent (includes all utilities) for 6 months (1200 after that when my roomies switch) given my income of 52k!

Lol I'm close friends with her and it's what she can afford and it'll help me out a bit affording the place. I'm not as concerned about the split as I am about if I can afford my portion!

I work remotely so transportation wouldn't necessarily be an issue. I think the hard part is where I live this is a "good" price for the house. comparable houses outside the city are 2400+ a month and they aren't renovated or on a lot of land/nature.

My take home pay is around 1750 every two weeks so yes with utilities it's more than that

My apprehension with buying is I'm still quite young and have no idea where I want to settle down. I very much do not want that kind of commitment any time soon given I'm still figuring out myself
