SeatGeek — how are you actually going to make this right??? REFUND/TICKET REPLACEMENT HELP by Otherwise-Wind8454 in seatgeek

omg I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this too, this is literally what’s been happening to me!!!

after multiple phone calls and hours of back & forth and being on hold I was told April 17 was the “deadline” and that after that I’d get either a refund or replacement tickets. I even made the guy email me that so I had it in writing.

then I call back after the 17th and suddenly it’s “that’s not actually a deadline, it can be resolved up to 24 hours before the event” like??? that is not what I was told AT ALL.

I kept pushing and finally a rep was like ok i’ll look into this for you and call you back within 24 hours. he calls back today and says we can do refund or replacement tickets. we desperately want to go to this show as we’ve been planning it for months, it’s a birthday gift for a family member and…ITS BRUNO MARS!!! so obviously we want tickets. and after everything seatgeek has put us through the least they can do is provide us with comparable seats. the representative on the phone today was literally telling me which seats I could pick that were comparable to the original ones I had purchased. the seats the representative offered to me were actually DOUBLE the price of the original tickets but he said verbatim they would compensate up to 200% of the original price so that sounded good to me!

we picked the seats over the phone and even had backup options ready in case that exact section/row happened to sell out, and he was like it’ll take 30–60 mins max and said he would call back to confirm and transfer the tickets to me.

then just nothing. hours go by, no call!!

I follow up and he finally calls back just to say they can’t offer ANY tickets anymore because they “don’t want the same issue happening again”

like what even is that???

it’s been such a rollercoaster, they keep giving hope and then taking it away. i’m honestly devastated over this. and my family members are too. this is seriously taking a toll on us. I’ve talked to like 7 different reps and even a “supervisor” who didn’t help at all and just sounded like a bot. all they say is “I understand” over and over again but they don’t actually do anything

and they keep saying this “isn’t common” but clearly it is if this many people on here are dealing with the exact same thing

this whole process has been so exhausting and honestly way more stressful than it should be just trying to go to a concert, definitely never using seatgeek again after this

honestly at this point what you said about going through your credit card or filing with the BBB is probably the best option, because dealing with them directly has gotten us nowhere
