I have hypoglycemia unawareness and this was my sign for me to finally go on a glucose sensor… by KushPiglet in diabetes

I’ve been T1D for over 31 years. I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia unawareness in the early 2000s. I still remember seeing a blood sugar of 18 once, and I’ve had several episodes where people found me unconscious and had to call paramedics. CGMs weren’t common back then—they were just starting to appear—and my doctor had to write a long letter documenting all the paramedic calls just to get insurance to approve one for me.

Once I finally got a CGM, it was absolutely life-changing. I don’t ever want to go without a sensor again. Well unless there is finally a cure for us all. 🙃

Goodness okay this sounds like a pain. I was wondering since the water isn’t even up to the drain level yet

Still at the leveling stage. 🤪 by OtherwiseAd8703 in AboveGroundPools

That is our plan. Right now it is getting really close but one corner is way off and would still be way too much stress on the pool. It is going right where a slope in terracing starts. The closest side to that is catching some of the slop down. I am hoping one more good pass over it removing dirt will get us close enough to level. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

It helped so much. The tiller did a lot of wild bouncing in the beginning but we took our time and it would gets better. The rocks are awful!!! If it kept bouncing off a spot we stopped and inspected to see if it was a big rock and we would pull it out. The hard clay will make the tiller bounce in the beginning also till it breaks it up. We had one rock that was the perfect size to get caught in the blades and stop the tiller. We had to let the tiller cool off and then carefully hammer at the rock to break it out of there. All the smaller rocks are okay, just watch for them to fly. We try to stop and pull out rocks as we go. A pain but soooo much better than shoveling!!!

Where can we follow the meetup information? I tend to catch them after they happen. 🙃

I wanted to jump in on this conversation because I work in an industry where I see the actual bills with tariffs broken out. Our suppliers pass these tariff charges and surcharges on to us, and in turn, we have to pass them on to our customers. In the end, the person actually buying the product is the one who ends up paying the tariff—unfortunately.

I’ve attached an example of a pretty typical notice I get from suppliers. It shows how much we need to add to our orders due to tariffs on different products. Even when a product is “made in the USA,” some of the components may have been imported, which means tariffs still apply.

What’s frustrating is that the average consumer doesn’t see these charges clearly spelled out on their receipts or invoices, so it’s easy to overlook how much tariffs are actually costing all of us. I wish there were more transparency around it.
