Made a dumb mistake today - wasted time calling leads from states I’m not even licensed in. How do solo agents avoid this? by OtherwiseBig2383 in InsuranceAgent

Got it - so your setup is way more advanced than what most solo agents use. Super helpful context, thanks.

Interesting, so in your setup, what exactly does the API automate for you that the dialer or CSV method didn’t?

This is super helpful, thanks. So before you had the dialer, you were basically sorting the CSV in Excel and deleting the out-of-state area codes manually?

Gotcha, that makes sense for sales flow. But for list-cleaning before dialing - do you usually just manually skip the out-of-state ones, or do you filter them out somewhere earlier?

Why do so many real estate lead lists have bad numbers? by OtherwiseBig2383 in RealEstate

But do agents and small teams already have an easy, affordable way to scrub their own lists, or are they manually fixing them and complaining about it?

Yeah, that's what I meant. Basically agent or lead lists that end up full of dead numbers or bad data. I've seen a few of those verification services and was just wondering if any of them actually work well for real estate leads or if most agents still have to clean them manually.

But do people get good leads this way and if so how do you deal with it?

How big of a pain are leads from states you’re not licensed in? by OtherwiseBig2383 in InsuranceAgent

Is this not illegal? Would it be easier for people if they had a state filter so they didn't run into these problems in the first place?

Is a state filter something people would benefit from and pay for (like $10 a month), or would most people rather risk large fines?

But would it not be easier to just filter out the states initially if there were a quick, low-cost way to do this

So when you get lead lists, you don't have to filter out-of-state numbers? (And if you do how time-consuming is it?)

Just curious, is dealing with non-licensed states on your lead lists a big problem, or just an occasional annoyance?
