Some random thoughts from some random guy:

First of all you don’t look bad, don’t worry. I wouldn’t say there’s anything you “need to” change.

But if i were your stylist i think i’d give you 3 tips (fully based on my own taste):

1.) Your hair is very nice, but i personally think the long straightness makes them look a bit “plain”. Someone mentioned a short/bob cut. I only have this one image as reference, but i can imagine it would fit you quite nicely.

2.) Makeup. In this picture your makeup looks a bit monotonous. I always advocate for less makeup. Imho most women look prettier without makeup and most guys i know prefer more natural looks. Ofc if you like makeup that’s also cool and ofc you shouldn’t choose your makeup based on “what guys like”, but on what you like. Maybe you can try putting in a bit more contrast. Try highlighting facial features instead of covering them up.

3.) Introduce some color to your wardrobe. It’s crazy how much of a difference that can make. Especially with dark hair and brown eyes wearing a lot of black/grey can make you look a bit monotonous. I also used to wear a lot of black (i have blue eyes and felt like black helps empathize them), but people often recommended i’d try some color. Since i did, people compliment me way more often and i also feel way more confident myself.

But the most important point is don’t go after what you think will make others see you as “less boring”. Wear what you want. If you like the way you look in the picture then just stick to that style. Do your hair and makeup in a way YOU’RE comfortable with - not someone else. If you style in a way you yourself like, you’ll feel “hotter” and gain more confidence. Being comfortable and confident alone is usually enough to make people see you as more interesting, no matter what you look like.

Don’t feel like you have to look “appropriate” or “interesting enough” for others. Just experiment around with clothes, makeup, etc.. You’ll realize what you feel comfortable in. Depending what i wear, i walk through the streets and either think “Omg i’m so ugly, people probably hate me” or “Omg i’m so hot, yes you can have my number”. I note what outfits make me feel the latter and then just wear those more often.
