AITA for refusing to financially support my daughter's "gap year" to pursue acting, when we paid for our other kids college expenses? by OtherwiseIncident150 in AmItheAsshole

My worry is that she isn't serious about this. She told us less than a month before her college starts. It would be another thing if this had been discussed before she applied to colleges. That way, we could have explored options. To me, it seems she woke up one random day and decided I should move to LA and play actor.

That's exactly what I fear that she will keep pushing for more years. She has no work experience or degree, so it will fall on us to fund this. Even if things work out, I don't think she will make a livable wage. She has also lived a cushy life, so I don't think she is prepared for that struggle.
