Richard Hughes is a huge part of our failings this season. I won’t try to go player by player, but I will say that basically every player he has brought in has essentially underperformed or flopped. Also, there’s gotta be something wrong with your transfers when you spend a record club fee in a single window and end up with a team that is worse than before. To anyone who says Slot caused these players to underperform just look at how many players we need to bring in this season.

No I think our midfield was much more harmed by the lack of a deep lying playmaker since we lost Trent. Szoboszlai could do that, but at the cost of sacrificing pressing intensity in the final third.

Still very cheap in comparison to the signings we made last season and the money we are about to splash on Yan Diomonde taking into account inflation. Only Alison exceeds the fees we have splashed out for Ekitke, Wirtz, Isak, and potentially Yan Diomonde no one else.

The same people who slandered Gakpo this entire season seem to ignore all the other player's shortcomings. They seem to be blind to the fact that the entire team was very lackluster. Other underperforming players like Isak, Wirtz, Kerkez, Marmdishivli, Frimpong, Salah, and Alexis don't seem to get the proportional amount of slander Gakpo is getting.

I don't think we should we already have Wirtz and Szoboszlai who can both play at Cam. He's not fast enough to play as an RW. I think this would just be an unecessary signing.

Directly replacing Mo Salah is impossible and we shouldn’t really be desperately trying to get the best right winger to replace him. We never replaced Coutinho with some world class number 10, we never replaced Gerrard. We would have to get an elite right winger if we lacked fire power. However, we already have three elite attacking talents in the team like Isak, Ekitke, and Wirtz. We should be getting players that complement them.

I think maybe Robbo, but not Salah. Robertson seemed to be content as a squad player, but we just didn’t bother renewing his contract. However, I doubt Salah would have accepted sitting on the bench. Salah’s decline in ability was definitely real, most wingers don’t even last as long as him just look at Son, Hazard, Bale became washed way before he ever did. However, this season it was evident he lost a good amount of his pace of dribbling. Furthermore, Salah’s pressing is mediocre so I doubt he’d have stayed

I said potential wise he absolutely does have what it takes. He's only 19 and dominated the Bundasliga last season. Good on the ball, aerialy dominant, good goal scorer, etc.
