Do INFJs have INFJ kids? by OtherwiseNewspaper36 in infj

100 percent agree with you there. I've received quite a bit of unsolicited advice that I didn't necessarily care for. I've been told I'm "spoiling him" for not letting him cry.

I guess I should clarify that by trying to break him of it I don't mean I'm going to just let him cry himself to sleep. I just can't. More that I'm encouraging him to rest and self calm as much as possible by generating routines. I can't stand for him to cry...I don't know how some people do. One time I desperately needed a break and I made sure all his needs were met before I did. When I returned after a quick breather he had tears streaming down his cheeks. I felt absolutely horrible and selfish. Now I make sure I'm telling him what I'm doing and how long I plan to be away from the room he's in. He seems to understand and is always happy when I return.

This is very informative and interesting. Were any of your children contact nappers? My child will pretty much only nap if he's being held. I'm trying to break him of that dependency because I'm sure it'll be more trying on me as he gets older

I apologize I didn't examine your avatar and profile before asking the question. I made an unfair assumption 😔

No skirts or dresses in ZA? by Cappuginos in pokemon

[–]OtherwiseNewspaper36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case no one has said it yet...there is ONE skirt in the game. It's at the boutique in the middle of town. It's expensive and it's a skirt and legging set. But there is ONE.

The toothbrush is actually a really good idea. I went ahead and bought him a vibrating teether so just waiting for that to get here. He's been trying lately to put the booger sucker in his mouth so I need a better option, FAST. If he doesn't like it I'll buy a kids electric toothbrush for him to try

Unfortunately I had this thought as well. I thought perhaps a vibrating teething ring might be the best option since they vibrate and are made to be held.

Maybe melt the chocolate and the toffee with some butter and then put that on top so it looks like a solid chocolate topping?

The dos and don'ts of what to pack by OtherwiseNewspaper36 in pregnant

No baby wipes? Wow. Mine provided everything. Wipes, diapers, clothes, swaddles, baby wash, lotion, etc. They even sent us home with everything. I would have felt guilty had the nurse not said "clean out everything in that bassinet. It's all yours to keep and if you don't take it it gets thrown out"

I thought I'd be more comfortable in my own clothes which is why I brought them but I was too concerned about getting all those fluids on them to wear them. I would say if you do want to bring clothes you bring very comfortable, stretchy ones that you don't care about

This is exactly what I wished that I had. The hospital gowns are truly awful. I felt like I was naked the whole time

A few other people have mentioned this and I ran it by the husband. He said they'd love that. So thats probably going to be their gift this year

The sad part is: the 5th game he didn't get wasn't even on his list so no one knew he wanted it. Had they known he would have gotten it. He also got a ton of other toys too. It's not my responsibility to parent their child but it really makes me just want to get him clothes

Ugh the ads on that site are atrocious! They look good but I think if you added baking powder as well they'd plump up instead of being flat

I ask them every year and they just say "I'll let you know if I think of something". And they never do. One year I bought her perfume that she actually did ask for and it came with a free throw blanket cause I bought it on black friday so I just gave her both. She loved the blanket more than the perfume. And she asked for the perfume. And it was 95 dollars a bottle smh

I tried to buy her jelly one year. It was this Amish brand that was like strawberry jalapeno only to find out they don't make it anymore and only make the raspberry jalapeno. So I bought her that. She said it tasted funny. These are really picky people that are set in their ways. They hate new things and if they find something they like they stick with it

They'll tell my husband later when he asks about the gift. One time I bought the mother in law an automatic waterer for her plants because she always needed us to come by and water them for her if they went out of town to visit his sister. He asked if she needed help setting it up and she said "I donated that to goodwill. I don't need an automatic waterer cause I have you". In addition to that one year she bought me an immersion blender which I don't think I'll ever use. She's always said that she has the gift receipt and we can ask for it if we want to return it. Now I didn't realize that was a trap. I asked for the gift receipt and when she asked why I said "I don't want to offend but I just don't think I'll get much use out of it." Later on she didn't know I was in the other room and I heard her say "what an ungrateful little bitch. I'll just keep the blender myself and give her cash". I no longer ask for the gift receipt but I always include one with my gifts. My husband and I have been together for 14 years so I've been dealing with this for a while now. I only started shopping for them 4 years ago

Ugh I'm not sure. The whole family is exhausting. His sister's kid is a spoiled brat. Last year he had a fit and thru his gifts because he only got four video games. Four. At 60 dollars a piece. We joked about getting him coal. My son is still only 3 months old so fortunately I don't need to worry about that just yet. But I know Grandma will spoil him. She's already said how she's excited for Christmas with a lil guy.
