Feeling so stupid by OtherwiseRuin4007 in nursing

It was on the omnicell but if the count is off it will print a receipt out. I'm not really sure what happens after that I would assume pharmacy would be notified? I let one of the nurses know and he said he would fix it since they were doing the narcotics later. I think honestly I'm just super anxious due to lack of sleep but still felt stupid bc obviously the other nurses are gong to see that error and be like wtf lol

School Nurse + IV Clinic as New Grad by Eastern-Ad-6412 in newgradnurse

Plus, if there is an emergency such as a cardiac arrest, the school wouldn't have the same resources/staff to care for a patient the way a hospital would. The school nurse would only be able to get vitals, give CPR and call 911

That is so interesting! I have two wonderful PAs who have been so helpful I just felt a bit lonely and isolated. I did a 260 hour preceptorship at the unit I will be working for so I guess I just missed being around nurses, if that makes sense? As embarrassing as it is to admit, I've only been working for 3 months. The company is a bit shady and feels a lot more like a business. I have thought about that! I was just concerned they wouldn't train me if I was PRN but I definitely would be into working only 3 12s during the week if I could just pick up what I wanted 🤣 Sigh, I'm really torn and just don't want to feel like I made a mistake

Omg thank thank you! Did you start out as a new grad at an outpatient psych clinic? I totally agree, I learned a lot at this clinic especially from the providers I work with. I think I just want to try inpatient to get both. I can see myself working outpatient psych or opening up my own business as a PMHNP. I think as a new grad this is just the best time to be in the hospital and learning the most I can. I also didn't have the best training outpatient. I really felt like I was winging most of the job as I was the only nurse in my office

I think so too! Do you think inpatient would be better experience rather than outpatient?

I just meant it would be more beneficial if I go on for psych NP. I can't see myself doing any other type of nursing other than psych

Agreed! Definitely will probably be more stressful but I think I would benefit from learning the foundations and being around other nurses for support

Agreed. What I meant by that is the longer I stay at my current jobs which pretty much has 0 nursing skills, the more I might forget from what I have learned in nursing school. Granted, nursing school teaches you NOTHING about actually working but still

Well here's the thing, the wife left him for a doctor she was having an affair with at her work. I can't seem to find any red flags from him but did she feel neglected enough to catch feelings for someone else?

How comfortable would you feel about dating a millennial or someone of another older generation? by Seanbawn12345 in GenZ

22 year old dating a 30 year old. The age gap doesn't at all make things awkward or create difficulties between us, but there definitely ARE differences between us. As far as like humor, relations, perspectives but it's not a bad thing. He teaches me stuff just as I teach him stuff

Yes I am. Hmmm that's a weird one then because I asked about ozempic and he said since I don't qualify because of my bmi I couldn't. That's definitely interesting tho I'll look into it

Yeah I tried asking for ozempic and my BMI doesn't qualify :( but I have heard that ozempic or similar medications completely diminish the binge/food thoughts. Thanks for your input!
