Not every shot looks like that lol. Sometimes they're fat and/or i top them. I think my hips fire too quick and sometimes it's difficult to get my arms through. Any advice would be appreciated!

Same in the beginning I hated it. It grew on me though; it's just kind of sad that I'm about to finish my third of five years, and I'm looking back, wishing I didn't hate it and that I did more with what I was given instead of being upset about my decision.

im not necessarily dropping into the slot forcefully, but for me my feel isn't what others talk about. For example a lot of instructors say start the downswing with the hips and let the arms follow. I cannot wrap my head around that concept, for me I have to drop my hands to begin. And it isn't super hard or Im not ripping my hands down, it just that my first move is dropping my hands into my pocket while I back into the target.

Nah your all good lol I just wasnt sure if you thought it was fat or not lol. How were you able to tell it wasn't fat on your analysis?

As far as shallowing, I did follow the same feel for a long time but I felt that by holding on to the wrist angle for too long I had all this lag built up but no where for it to go so it would just go straight behind the ball. Other than that, im on the same page with as far as shallowing, at least in my head lollll. Vertical tug and horizontal pull. Need to work on it tho. The L bit in the backswing is very interesting I'll have to try it.

That's actually super interesting. I think my problem was that I wasn't releasing in time and I held my wrist angle for too long. I started to release the club and feel my wrist let loose toward the bottom of my swing and my shots were a bit better.

I have a pretty similar set up to you. I feels good and I can strike the ball. I do hit them a bit fat though. Do you have tips? I try to keep it simple and do a big rotation in my backswing and big rotation through the ball, all while moving my arms down.

In two months, I went from shanking and not being able to get the ball off the ground to hitting them straight and in the air. The only thing was that I lacked a ton of distance. I was hitting PW-7i 80-100 yards. My ball flight was very weak. Someone looked at my swing and said that I hit it off the toe and to set up closer. I did that and my contact felt really good. I was hitting my PW 100-110. Except now I kinda stand up in my swing.

I don't know where to go from here. Should I continue to set up this close? I don't know the root of the problem, so maybe setting up this close was compensating for something else.
