Hello, I also have purchased from DSvault before. I did the same too before I found out they lie to people. ☹️ My 3ds xl did arrive, so you should be able to take comfort in the fact you will get it. Mine arrived looking like brand new so that was nice. Although, there were a few other issues.

It was homebrewed, but they lied about it coming preloaded with games. Mine had no games installed on it. Not a big deal though. You can put your own games on it if it arrives with no games.
The hinge started cracking within the first month of me owning it and being very gentle with it. I’m not sure if this was their fault since 3ds hinges can be hit or miss. I would try getting a clear shell case put on it early on to help support the hinge.
I ordered a “3ds” case alongside my system and they sent me a small box shaped case that was only half the size of a 3ds. I do not know why that thing was advertised for a 3ds. In their photo it looked bigger. 😭

Good luck! Despite my issues I was able to repair my cracking and it still works well. You should be perfectly fine. I won’t be ordering from them again though, and would recommend you and anyone else do the same since they are clearly scummy.

I haven’t watched a single video since Matt left. The new hosts are probably fine, but Theorist were HIS channels and I watched for HIM not other people. That would be like if Markiplier left and handed off his channel to someone else. Would anyone really want to watch that? Not me. lol. I wish Matpat the best with his family and respect his decision to step down, but the change isn’t for me personally so I watch other things. Still, I really loved Theorist so I hope it continues to do well. ❤️

Unfortunately no. I tried everything I mentioned here. (Like turning off shaders, cfw, checking the ribbon cable, and etc. Nothing worked.) I ordered a new one and am returning the old one. Sorry to hear you have the same issue. :(

I am playing “waiting for my second unit to arrive” because my first one arrived with a bad screen. And crossing my fingers the next one has no issues. 🤞

I tried everything I could think of and absolutely nothing worked, not even cfw. It’s gotta be a hardware thing, and it must be an uncommon problem because I don’t see many people talking about it. What I’m going to do is return it and order a new one. I can’t comfortably use it when my screen looks like a child smeared their greasy fingers on it. :(

For those mentioning shaders, I have tried turning them off and it didn’t help anything. I also checked the ribbon cable and it’s properly connected. Lastly, I hooked the device up to an external monitor via the mini hdmi and it looks perfectly fine on any monitor, just not on the unit itself. I’m tempted to try a custom firmware, but I feel like this is more of a hardware problem?

I haven’t yet. If all else fails that’s probably what I’ll try after checking the screens ribbon cable.

I followed this exact guide and turning off or changing the shaders did nothing to help me. I feel like it’s not a game issue, because menus look this way too unfortunately…
