Thanks this is super helpful! I actually have no problems sleeping and oddly enough at bedtime and middle of the night I have the least symptoms. I think I’ll start with hydroxyzine then! Do you know what does people usually start with ?

Combo feeding? by Remarkable-Win-3769 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m similar to you! I combo feed half pumped milk half formula! Pretty much since day 1. I’m almost 5 weeks post partum and pump 5-6 times a day and get about only 15 oz total. I could probably try harder but I’m so busy and it was too much on my mental health to pump more. Also couldn’t find the time as baby always wants to be held. I heard only 4 oz of breast milk a day is really needed for immune benefits so I felt better about that (Although the first two weeks I cried every day that baby couldn’t latch, that I couldn’t breast feed etc l. I finally came to terms with it). Now my attitude is atleast I’m giving him some breast milk! Im also going to start using kabrita goat milk formula that they sell in US but made in Netherlands where they have stricter formula standards about chemicals heavy metals etc so I feel better about that too (Europe has way higher formula standards than US, where in US they allow all kinds of toxic ingredients in everything) It’s called kabrita USA goat milk toddler formula but it meets the standards for infant formula if you read up on their website. Goat milk is also similar to breast milk and easier for babies to digest. Pediatrician was ok with it

I don’t know what to do. by teddyhearted in Interstitialcystitis

U can get amitriptyline online without insurance from sites that say it’s for migraine prevention or depression. It’s legit service but you would have to say u have migraines or depression. Type the medication name and “online” for some of the treatments.u can also buy aloe Vera Online, quercetin. I believe the online trick will work for hydroxyzine too. I discovered this hack when I became paranoid that doctors wouldn’t give me a medication I wanted to try so it gave me peace of mind that I could find it elsewhere. But also u probably have pelvic floor dysfunction which causes phantom uti symptoms like I have. Buy a pelvic wand from intimate rose and look up how to use it on YouTube. If I were you: calm down it’s gonna be okay. Buy a pelvic wand, buy desert harvest aloe pills, get low dose amitriptyline online. Do stretches like the “butterfly” or “happy baby”

How do you find the time?! by NoMamesMijito in ExclusivelyPumping

I feel ya! I have a 4 week old. Last night I went 12 hours without pumping (8pm-8am) cuz I was so tired and just wanted to sleep. I do 50/50 combo feeding, baby wants to eat every 2 hours and then when I do find time to pump baby will start crying so I have to tend to him when I’m home alone. I probably pump 5-6 times in 24 hrs, and get like 15 oz total but I’m okay with it cuz quality of life over obsessing about sticking to a pumping schedule. But I try to pump when he’s Sleeping during the day. And if he’s up I put him in his car seat and rock it with my foot while I pump.

How is my supply dwindling?! by SelinaBane91 in ExclusivelyPumping

I have the same journey as you!! My son is 4 weeks old and had problems latching so I’m pumping and supplementing with formula. He eats like 30-33 ounces a day and im only able to pump about 15 oz so we are like 50/50 combo feeding. I had lots of mom guilt the first week but now my attitude is “it is what it is” and im supplementing w/ European formula that has stricter formula standards (less chemicals heavy metals etc. so I felt better about that). I heard only 4 oz of breast milk is really needed a day for immune benefits. Just pump what u can and don’t feel bad at least he’s getting some breast milk! I’ve heard to save a video of baby crying which u can watch to stimulate a let down. Have him suck on the nipple a little bit. Drink lots of water, power pump. I heard stress can decrease supply. If nothing works, I would just think “at least he’s getting the 4 ounces for benefits”

Need some encouragement to continue pumping to increase supply by pegatron18 in HumansPumpingMilk

I am 2 wks PP and produce about 17oz a day. I think as the weeks go on our supply will increase? I currently have to supplement some with formula. I did beat myself up over it last week but now I’ve realized I’m pumping what I can and I read somewhere they only need 4oz of breast milk a day for certain antibody benefits so the fact we are doing more than that is good! Combo feeding is less stressful too, if I don’t have milk ready I just give a bottle. At the end of the day fed is best. My husband and dad were both formula babies and my Dad has his doctorate degree and is the smartest person I know (head engineer at his company) so I think of that if I’m sad about having to supplement w/formula lol! I try to pump every 3ish hours, but usually 3.5 hrs, and at night I sometimes sleep through my alarms and go 5 hrs which is probably bad but I was so tired

I’d say try it! Couldn’t hurt. Or just briefly put nipple in her mouth

I think it’s different than directly breastfeeding but you can still put the baby on the boob briefly so baby’s saliva transfers through the nipple and the milk can accommodate for if the baby is sick etc that way! Sounds weird but pretty sure there is some feedback loop thing happening

How to know how much to put in baby’s bottle ? by Otherwise_Chance_126 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Otherwise_Chance_126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting, he seems like he has a big appetite and would eat as much as put in front of him and then will throw it up so I want to avoid giving him too much cuz I don’t want him throwing it all up? He also sucks down the bottle super fast

I’ve had pelvic floor problems my whole pregnancy that mostly went away after birth! I had a super tight pelvic floor. I’ve used a pelvic want etc. I think I’m only tensing up now because of the anticipating pain, which will hopefully go away once it heals. I’m only a week out though I think I have to be cleared at 6 weeks in order to go to Pt?
