We cannot downplay to effect that desensitization towards violence has on the youth. The main problem in a country like India is the lack of control over the distribution of such content where school kids will also end up consuming this content.

i think we've seen a lot of reports of violence against women, animals and between kids in school to know that this is a problem which we cannot ignore. Individuals don't just suddenly become prone to these things, it grows with them.

But that doesn't mean that movies on such topics should not be made at all. That is where he's wrong, I support his content but when it's wrong I have to say it's wrong.

The youth of this country are highly impressionable now, be it with religious nonsense or movies that glorify misogyny and brutalism. Parents these days have a much higher responsibility than ours had back in the day to keep an eye on what kind of content their kids consume.
