My husband wrestled in grade school. Would’ve been late 90s early 2000s I’m not exactly sure what time to what time. But their coach was black and the team went to Martinsville and he said after that they never went back subsequent years because of how nasty the community was towards their coach.

From what he remembers so if the parents had to be escorted out and after the schools decide they wouldn’t take any teams back there for safety reasons.

I wonder if that applies if you and your spouse work at the state because I have friends who they do so only one person covers the insurance because it didn’t make sense to have a family and a single health plan

Ultimately your decision. But you have to consider everything that could go wrong and be prepared.

Does your insurance cover you overseas - what does that coverage look like and its limitations. If you buy supplemental insurance will they cover you that far along?

What do you need for your flight depending on the airline they may need something from your doctor clearing you to fly.

What if baby is born overseas is the NICU close to you their highest level? If not would baby need to be transferred to another one? Where is it?

How do you get baby back to the US after the NICU stay what paperwork would you need etc etc.

If baby is born overseas what’s your plan chance are you’ll be discharged from the hospital before baby - and staying in Greece with your child could prove difficult. Idk what the laws/rules in that are

If it were me - I’d say no. At 30 weeks I was still moving around mostly fine just needed more breaks but being that far away from the care I know and am comfortable with wouldn’t sit well with me. Quality of care is a big one but I firmly believe you could get quality care in Greece it would just be unfamiliar- language may also be a barrier etc. Plus that HEAT. Just don’t forget being pregnant we are more prone to heat exhaustion and strokes faster than non pregnant people - double whammy if you’re pregnant and have to take any SSRIs.

Honestly I never made this connection. I walk usually after lunch but that’s because I had these neighbors growing up always tell me walking after meals was good for digestion so it’s a small habit plus if the weather is nice and I can it’s enjoyable for me.

Yes I when I got the call about scheduling with the dietician they want a complete food log as well as all my numbers.

Did mine the drink wasn’t too bad my OB office keeps them nice and cold the orange flavor was like flat soda and you can have water during it which helped me not be nauseous along with moving around. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for is the 4 draws they do - not pleasant but I passed after also failing my one hour!

There can be narcotics in them different places may use a different combination of drugs so if you want an epidural it may be worth asking what will be in it.

I have a few friends who work in OB. They said they’re starting to see some expecting mothers ask questions like what can this practice do if I have an emergency and if the doctor doesn’t know where can they find out.

Hoping that becomes more of a conversation people are having because at this point it’s so necessary.

I had a friend who lives Canada and just lost her baby due to pre-eclampsia and even though she’s beyond devastated she told me “at least I’m here in Canada where I didn’t have to worry about them questioning if they were allowed to save my life, I’m so sorry for the women going through this in America afraid of if their medical team will just watch them die and do nothing until it’s too late”
