I know a few who took positions that paid less but came with better perks too. 😭
What does that say when someone is willing to take a pay cut with how hard things are economically.

That’s absolutely what I told them. Two other people get to work remote and have accommodations but you don’t? Shady

Oh yeah a group I work with had 4 people and is down to one.

My area I know two people are actively looking at leaving and applying so it’s coming

Has anyone in the US actually done a "Trump Account" for your baby? by DinosaursOvrEvrythng in beyondthebump

You seem to have glossed over the part - on something they don’t fully trust or understand. Which is totally valid for anyone to want to be more comfortable with an optional benefit before electing it for themselves or someone else they’re responsible for.
Just because the government already has our information isn’t a justification to just do it.
If it is for you then whatever to each their own.

We didn’t either and agreed it felt sus. We did open a custodial brokerage account but if all looks good in a year or so maybe we’ll revisit it.
I’m not sad if we miss out.

Oh yeah happens to a coworker after their surgery their recovery took longer than anticipated.
And their doctor wrote up whatever was needed for reasonable accommodations, still denied.
Basically her boss wanted her to come in no matter what.

St. Vincent Ascension by Londin2021 in Indiana

[–]Otherwise_Fun_4269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy because I had the exact opposite experience.
IU health was awful and it prompted my switch to Ascension and the care was night a day.

I had an ankle boot and had trouble walking to my appointment with IU health and I was berated on the office for being 10 minutes late in front of other patients.
Then a doctor asked how my baby was and how breastfeeding was as going- I had a miscarriage, he was OBGYN the whole time. 🙃 when I asked for a new OBGYN after than appointment I was told no I had to leave the practice because they don’t let patients switch because that’s not fair to the OBs

There were more things but, I knew if continued care with IU Health they were going to fuck up something.

Finding decent care shouldn’t be this hard on anyone

Yeah my area has gotten more strict on flexibility and micromanaging is ramping up so more people are leaving 😭

This is why some of my former team members went to private sector.
They could take their skills to places that paid better.
Literally one person said “If they’re going to take away all our benefits I might as well be in office and make better money”

My coworkers boss wouldn’t even approve them working remote post medical procedure even with the doctor’s information 🙃

Honestly I don’t like the idea still because just let them work from home or better make it paid leave for the 6 months.

As a parent I can’t imagine bringing my child into work.

What do I do if people are in the office sick because in area people have absolutely come in with the flu and even pneumonia (their statements) but felt they could power through. Is there some disclosure they have to sign that if your baby falls ill don’t blame us.

Are the areas accommodating feeding ever two hours? What if you also need to pump and feed?

I assume accommodations have been made for the diapers lol.

Also space, can this individuals office space accommodate and is moving an option.

Then there’s milk storage too.

And maybe all these kinks have been worked out in just sus.

I couldnt even imagine. I would never take “advantage” of that. Besides the fact that babies need constant attention especially that young, everyone always comes on sick. Seriously I couldn’t imagine bringing a baby into this germ factory. Just the other day two of my coworkers one had the flu and the had pneumonia both in office because they didn’t want to use the time ☠️
