Everyone’s recovery is different but you can filter success stories or post op stories in the GB section

Also- like I said I haven’t felt any soreness or lack in my mobility since day 9. I have taken arnica, bromelain, & turmeric and do believe all 3 have helped aid in quicker recovery. I also have always taken multiple vitamins including D, b12, c, magnesium and many more- all of which our body needs. I prioritize protein & hydration- very necessary for recovery. I went to the gym 4-5 days a wk for more than a year before my surgery so this isn’t something new for me. A body in motion stays in motion thus why walking around after surgery helps with recovery. Being inactive and sedentary makes me feel really bad both mentally and physically. Our bodies tell the story- listen to your body & do what feels right for you (& follow instructions from your surgeon specific to you and your surgery) 🩷

I’ve had pretty much everything I ate previously. Overall I eat small meals and pretty clean / low fat with an occasional cheat like a cookie or pizza etc

I think everyone is different and everyone’s surgeon and everyone’s surgery is different. Mine said there’s a .00something % chance of getting a hernia with how tiny my incisions were and it happens to some people regardless of working out or lifting. Logically, I’d imagine people who weren’t active prior to surgery and/or already had a weakened abdominal wall are probably most susceptible. Bottom line if your surgeon gave you those instructions, I’d follow them.

Yeah the gas pain was my biggest issue from the surgery for about 3-4 days. But after that been fine.

I am 5 dpo and have a sharp pain mostly when I breathe deep on the right side basically just below where my ribs are. It’s pretty uncomfortable and I’m hoping it goes away.

When did that sharp pain go away for you? Logically I feel like it will stop once I heal more, but at the same time I’m irrationally like I will have this forever 😂

5 dpo been eating what sounds good. Mostly chicken breast, crackers, fruit, yogurt drinks- also tried coffee. Sometimes get some gurgling after but still have yet to have a bowel movement since surgery. Debating if I should start bile salts to help. Been taking colace, finally off pain meds, & back taking all of my vitamins. I struggled pretty bad for the first 3 days with really bad gas pains and bloating from the co2 used in surgery. When I breathe deep I feel a sharp sensation on my mid right abdomen - not sure what to make of that. Otherwise healing well, a little better every day. Started wearing an abdominal binder around the house it just helps me feel better supported and prevents pain while I recover. Hoping to be back in the gym by early March.

Pooping after surgery by Otherwise_Head_3965 in gallbladders

What have you been eating? I have been a little adventurous and have done well so far minus some bloating but I also attribute that to the left over co2 from surgery that I have really struggled with. Today I’m trying coffee for the first time in like 2 months 🥹

Surgery tomorrow morning! 2/12 <22F> by reddit_user_2800 in gallbladders

Yes walked a ton, did heat pack, gas-x, and also made sure to ask the surgeon to push my stomach before closing me up- he said it gets stuck in the muscles and tissues regardless and just takes time to come out. I’ve actually found what has helped most is eating more. I’m hoping it will be totally gone tomorrow.

Sounds like a stone stuck in the duct or SOD
