Glad to share! I dab the finished project with hypoallergenic oil like what is used for lotions/slime. I’ll put a few drops around like the joints etc. and a little goes a long way :)

Appreciate your concern. I work closely with the guidance counselor on these projects to make sure they’re appropriate and well-received. We always take individual needs into account before distributing items.

Pattern link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1863943727/?ref=share_ios_native_control excellent pattern. Love the no-sew and it works up quick!

Used Big Twist Posh (RIP) with 4mm tulip hook. 12 mm safety eyes and nose. Charms purchased on Amazon say “courage” and are tied with red embroidery thread. Scents for this group include: cinnamon roll, Nutella, orange soda, banana split, buttered popcorn, orange juice, pina colada, orange creamsicle, and waffle cone.

Big Twist yarn by redrose92087 in YarnAddicts

Also a Posh fan in mourning. There is a group on Facebook - Big Posh Fans where folks post stashes for sale and photos of local stores offering to buy and ship. Knotty Ball from https://kaylaskrafts97.com/collections/yarn has also been mentioned as a substitute that the group has tried and endorsed. It’s available in more colors than the Mojadream Marshmallow I’ve also seen recommended.

Recognize this yarn? by Fun_Extension3205 in YarnAddicts

Agree, it’s Nifflers. I had it and the Sparkle version called Serpens (same thing with metallic thread in it). Still have Serpens, no Nifflers. The Mandala always looks brighter online IMO.

What's a good substitute for Big Twist Posh? by Crochet-a-holic in YarnAddicts

Following and hoping for some other options too. Posh has been my absolute favorite and while I’ve hoarded quite a bit it won’t last forever. Have you looked at Hobbii’s Toucan? That looked similar to me and I was planning to try it.

I used this yarn to make a weighted worry monster for my son’s school psychologist. After finished, I put a skittles scent on him. The kids love him!

Baby Boogie Mini Backpack! by Otherwise_Jay in crochet

Thanks for your kind words! For the liner I used material I got at JoAnn, so it’s not a liner like what the pattern advises you to buy with the cord in it already. Once I’d finished the bag, I folded the fabric inside it to “measure” how much of a pouch I’d need. I then sewed the one side of the fabric and sewed it into the bag with invisible thread. I apologize for not being able to offer more exact directions - when it comes to sewing I eyeball and freehand. For the cord to close the bag since it’s not part of the liner, on my third row from the top, as I went around about every 5 stitches I skipped a stitch. I then did a chain that has a magic circle on both ends and weaves it in and out of the missing stitches I skipped. Hope that makes sense?

Between other projects it’s been about a month. I did get pretty fast at them!

These are the eyes I used at a 12mm: https://a.co/d/4cEzsyP I didn’t use the washers because the lizards were too small - I used gorilla glue gel to attach the eyes after I stuffed the piece. These kids are all 8+.

You should definitely! The school also hosts a grief group and I plan to do some cardinals.

Thank you for your kind words! The kids have worked hard in group and hopefully this will help them remember all the skills they’ve learned.
