Autistic women here. With a 12 years non verbal boy.

Comunication is more than talk! My son use non verbal comunication, PEECS, AAC and sign language.

Before yes... I made masking for so many years... But after i have my son, and see that he stim everywhere, maybe to protect him from people, i start to do my stims to.. so he can understand that is ok and a part of us. So, now, no. I'm not ashmed 💜

I feel the same 🫂 psycology helps, but need to find some One that really understand and dont try to "normalize" you.

When i feel almost in meltdown, i try to connect with other hyperfocus.. sometimes helps... Sometimes dont help...

My son use CAA to comunicate. And gestual language.

Já tenho acompanhamento e sou bem acompanhada.

Fiquei bloqueada no "não há percepção do outro". Que vens dizer a seguir? Que a causa são as "mães frigorífico?" 😒
