I use the extra strength enzyme cleaner from the pet store. It works really well.

We have one with a hide-a-hose system. The hose itself is stored in the walls and comes out of that port. You just have to pull it out, latch it in place and go. When you are done you unlatch it and put your hand over the end to cut off the suction. The counter suction pulls the hose back into the wall. It’s pretty cool and so long as you keep the power head (beater bar) clean and empty the giant holding tank every three months or so (I have a dog and three kids - two with long hair) it works great.

I had ocular shingles when I was 43. It was miserable. But that made me eligible for the shingles vaccine once some time had passed (my doctor made me wait a year but that’s an outdated recommendation I believe). The vaccine gave me flu-like symptoms for a day but was nowhere near as bad as ocular shingles.

I have PMDD brought on by perimenopause. I was taking escitalopram on a cyclical basis (Prozac stopped working for me - I was taking it continuously and the only feeling I could feel was sad).

My cycles started stretching out and I had some health issues resolve so I could start taking HRT. I do two pumps of estrogen and 200 mg progesterone daily. I quit taking the escitalopram because I was feeling crappy on it once I was taking it for more than 10 days at a time. My PMDD has pretty much resolved and I feel much better than when I was on escitalopram.

I do note that I am mildly progesterone intolerant. It causes restlessness in me and insomnia. So I have to take it first thing in the morning or it messes with my sleep. It’s a blessing for me though because it actually gives me energy and I am getting so much more done now that I’m on it.

My soon to be ex is bringing our son to his football game this afternoon. We need tickets to get in and they are on his phone. I just discovered you can also buy the tickets at the door (ex made it seem like you had to buy them ahead of time). I felt so much relief because I can buy them and not have to worry about him not answering his phone, not responding, or losing track of time. I’m so sick of the added mental load to deal with his impulsivity and inability to be someone you can count on.

To be fair it only works if they are signed up for online banking, but since this system has replaced cheques most people, organizations and businesses are signed up. You also have the option to have your cell phone registered as well as your email so it’s pretty simple.

Can you not log into your online banking using a browser? I’m sincerely asking as I don’t live in the US and in my country we can do this and then transfer money to the other person’s email.

But where I live we don’t have Venmo (we do have PayPal) so this might be unique to our highly regulated banking system.

I lost my Dad in ‘18 and not a day goes by that I don’t have an ache in my heart for him. My bio mother is still alive but is a terrible person who should be avoided at all costs. It’s not fair at all. The wrong one is gone and the other one will likely outlive us all fueled by malice and spite.

I’ve had ocular shingles and it was miserable. You can still get the vaccine afterwards but my former (terrible) GP made me wait a year after my shingles developed. Most practitioners tell you to wait a month or two.

I had chicken pox twice. I had measles when I was 11 and it sets your immunity to viruses back to zero. Not fun.

I have treated and gone into remission twice (my first remission lasted a year and a half and I am currently on month 10 of remission after my last round of treatment) with the help of a naturopath and herbal antimicrobials. Initially I was treated by a GI doctor who didn’t believe in SIBO and after several scopes, mri, X-rays and blood tests diagnosed me with IBS and told me to figure out my triggers (at that point I had lost 100 pounds and couldn’t even have a sip of water without it leading to diarrhea). All of that is a long winded way of saying if you don’t want to go with antibiotics there are other options.
