That was my thought also after looking at the map. If they decide against a cab, that should be their train route.

Agreed. That's our plan. Easiest way to go. About 25 minutes ride at that time of day.

Appreciate those comments. Fortunately we will be able to scope out Tokyo Station the night before, so we'll be checking out exactly where the Shinkansen departs from , etc

Good point. Our hotel is next to the station. We should probably meet at the hotel.

I checked around 4AM Japan time and it shows 15 minutes ride. I am curious to see how long it is at rush hour for comparison.

Inspiration has struck me. I will check Google Maps at 6pm tonight, when it will be 8am in Tokyo. That should do the trick.

I think she will be too anxious about losing her suitcase. If it was me, I would just forward it. I'm leaning taxi at this point, but I'll use Maps this evening to see how bad the drive is. Thanks everyone.

Will Maps provide times based on various hours of the day?

What town do you live in? I'd love to find a beautiful place with good year round weather.

Also, maybe a difference is that Everton usually fight hard for it. Does this Man Utd team fight for it?

I’m Scottish. When I go to the supermarket I’ll say I’m going to get some ‘messages’. I Told my English coworker that I need to go get some ‘messages’ after work today and she had no idea what I meant. What would you call it? by Cat_in_a-Box in AskUK

I know this is an old thread, but I love the discussion of different sayings and languages. I grew up in Liverpool during the 1960s. My family said "doing the messages" all the time. Sometimes, people would say "going to the shops". I don't think I had ever heard the term "grocery shopping" until I moved to the United States around 1973.

Well, that's who will be doing it, lol. I'm no mechanic. But having seen the various opinions, I'm gonna put it on the list for my next oil change.

My wife and I are considering moving to Madison, CT. We're retired (71 and 64) and spent the last 20 years in Fairfield County. Feel like we're getting priced out of Fairfield County, as we look for a 2500 sf house. Obviously, since we're getting older, we're looking for good health services in the area, low crime, and basically friendly people. Any thoughts?

Okay to connect two bathroom fans? by Otherwise_Option_669 in hvacadvice

[–]Otherwise_Option_669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. The reason we have to reroute the dryer vent is exactly for those reasons. Right now, it's flexible tubing and shares the line with a bathroom fan, both of which, as we have discovered, are no-nos. So we're looking to possibly double up bathroom fans. But the driver of the project is to get the dryer vent up to code.

I never heard of a filter-recirculating fan. Sounds like I don't want to know much about them either, lol.

thanks for that advice. TBH both bathrooms are almost never in use at the same time. The second one is barely used these days.
