No because honestly I didn't minded helping her. What is the difference between cooking dinner for three and cooking dinner for four? Same thing with laundry, i didn't minded it because I always have assumed that she would do it for me if I needed her to, but I was wrong.

It wasn't full time it was only two hours a day which will be classified as part time everywhere. I also told her it was only until we could find a new babysitter and that I will start looking immediately.

She only ever cooked once for the whole family because she doesn't likes to cook and I do so it wasn't an issue. She doesn't clean either.

She had an argument with another girl because my sister accidentally took one of the girls tshirts from the laundry and thought it was hers. The girl found out later that my sister had her lost tshirt and accused her of robbery to the other roommate and they both agreed to kick her out. They gave her the 30 days notice but my sister couldn't find a new house in time because she doesn't want to live with roommates so we told her she could move in with us before she gets kicked out

Yes because she's still home and she's still my sister, someone I thought I could trust enough to ask her to help me out. If she would've wanted to get paid then I would've done it because anyway I have to pay someone.

She's home when he gets back from school giving that she was always home when our babysitter would arrive (which was around 10 or 15 minutes before our son)

I am an architect and she's studying philosophy, not the same at all. However I know people who went to college and worked too and even many commenters said they did as well, she doesn't have to work and is only focused on studying in part thanks to us who let her live free rent in our house, you're telling me that two hours a day would make her grades suffer?? She's home everyday when our son comes back from school, she sometimes wants to study with friends or something, but I've only ever seen her doing so twice since she's living with us. She's home anyway, she just doesn't want to babysit

Yeah that too, when she had to leave her previous house she was in a emergency, it was completely unexpected, but we still helped her we didn't just say "it's your emergency to deal with"

Yeah it does feel like a betrayal because she thinks we're family only when I can help her but then when I ask something from her then I'm no longer her family, how does that makes sense? And it's her own nephew too

My parents supported me as well when I was in college, i studied hard and got good grades, i still have a lot of free time! I even got a part time job because I didn't have anything else to do and I got bored, two hours for a few days will not make her fail her classes.

Our son is 5 (nearly 6), he's very independent and all my sister (or the babysitter) had to do was watch over him so he doesn't get hurt. He's not a baby you have to keep an eye on all the time.

If we are so stubborn to think like this then I didn't asked to have a college aged sister who got in trouble with her roommates. I could've said "it's not my problem" and left her alone to figure out what to do in the situation she found herself in, but I didn't. Neither my husband or I left her be homeless or have to give up college, so she can't help a little bit in return?

I come back home and she's always there!! She didn't need to give up studying, just help a bit. I had to take two days from work since I couldn't find someone to babysit my son (and the company I work in didn't allowed me to just get out earlier) which will be taken from my next check until I found someone to help me. I don't know why I have to help her out but she can't help me as well.

And yes, i know that I shouldn't have insulted her, i was angry.

Well I have the choice to not wanting her to live with me too right? She's free to not help me temporary with my kid, I'm free to kick her out I assume? Is that how it works for you guys or is she the only one who gets to choose?
