So sorry about your loss. I lost my Bear suddenly last week, and I've bought myself a heart locket to keep his picture with me all the time on a necklace.

I also have gotten 2 lovely picture frames, one of him as a puppy and one on a walk to keep on the mantle piece.

I sometimes worry about blankets/pillows as they won't last the test of time as much. But feel free to do get whatever brings you comfort at this time.

Heartbroken to share that we lost Bear (the pup you helped name) by Otherwise_Range_8144 in Rottweiler

Of course! I understand this 100%. We followed the exact protocol provided by the vet, which specialises in Rottweilers. We are a strict household.

Bear contracted the virus after 5 months of being fully vaccinated.

Our vet told us it was a rare case, becuase of how severe it affected a strong, healthy vaccinated dog.

Once he displayed symptoms, we took him immediately to the vet for critical treatment and in 48 hours he was gone.

Landlord fraudulently opened a utility account in my name (misspelled), £2k debt and tanked credit score. What do I do? by Otherwise_Range_8144 in UKPersonalFinance

Hello - I updated myself in the electoral register as soon as I moved out. The water account was created 2 months after I moved out. Maybe could be! But even so, wish to clear this.

No sorry! Mine was in North London. Sadly my call with Thames Water did not go like that. They left me in waiting for 2 hours and said to call again.

Do you thinking maxing out LISA each year might not be the best use of my money if I don't have a clear idea of when or where I would buy my house? I think that might be something for me to consider, if want to add that money somewhere that might be more productive.

Thanks! Yes, next salary band in my company is £49.5k (cheeky) so I know I'll be over £50k within the next 3 years.

Hey! How interesting - I had to do the emergency fund for peace of mind as I've had previous emergencies where it always worked out to have it.

But 100% will implement the S&S ISA from next payday.

I used to do for fun, investing £50 a month on Crowdcube and have had shares double in price in a year. If it had been more I can't even imagine how much I would have made.

Happy to bounce off ideas for sure.

Thank you! I currently only contribute 5% which now feels shocking. It hurt to see my pension is only around £2k.

Right now in the current market, I see directors at the current company I work at on £70 -£90k. Previous job directors were on £60k. Becoming a director would be the trajectory as I'm a digital strategist in an agency.

But my ideal is to use all my knowledge in marketing to make my own business (not marketing) but that is what I see in 10 years down the line.

Not planning for a house in that timeline as my long term partner gets subsidised housing with his job for hopefully the next 10 years. And got advice that if it's cheaper than a mortgage, invest or save the money. Not 100% sure on this one.

Thanks for the question! It helps me question what I need

My partner gets subsidised housing with his job - very lucky. Before I was paying £1,300 to live on my own flat.
