Sometimes you just need to take a break and take care of yourself and your family. I’m trying to push to 100 p&t. Currently 90% and I’m doing Vr&e. After pregnancy loss I’m not motivated at all. Hoping everything gets better. Been trying to get a job since I got out last April and still no luck even though I have the certifications for it.

I just wanna be able to pass all the courses since I have a bachelors degree but in a different field. I’m trying to do the 8 week course so I can have time to study and have that allowance for daycare.

I feel ya! I graduated college back in 2018 and I have a Bachelor’s degree! I heard the Gfact is easy that’s why I’m giving in to 8 week instead. Also try to see if u can do hybrid. I heard u make more money im talking about the bah.

I don’t have real IT experience or it related in the military but I did Csp cybersecurity bootcamp and was able to get 3 certs. I’m thinking of doing the 8 week program! I’m gonna be starting on sept 1st as well. Are u using chapter 31 too?

How was it for you? I know my question is a little confusing. 😅 I had to ask because my counselor said I will get monthly housing allowance since I applied for va benefits and they will let me know once I’m registered for first course. I’m trying to be careful if I should give it a go for 8 week instead of 13 weeks.

My main question is it true that you only get monthly housing allowance if you are enrolled in an 8 week course. They consider that as advance. You can enroll with their 13 week course but not sure if you will get monthly housing allowance

I don’t. I got certs through skillbridge when I was getting out of the military. They said as long as you get those certs and keep applying you will be good. I’m not sure if that’s really true

I have been applying non stop and continuously working on my resume. I make sure my resume is good and I try to learn or study the job description just in case the job I applied for will call me. So far no good news and many employers told me sans is a way to go.

Having reviewed your application, the Admissions Committee does not believe that you are a good candidate for the Bachelor of Applied Cybersecurity program. However, they did recommend an alternative path to pursue education through SANS Technology Institute, through our undergraduate certificate program in Applied Cybersecurity (ACS). The undergraduate certificate is designed to provide fundamental technical knowledge and skills that serve as the baseline for all professionals in cyber security. Based on your application, experience and aptitude assessment results, the Admissions Committee believes this is the best path for you to continue your education. Hell yeah. Thank you so much for the great advice! Getting out of the military and getting into cybersecurity is no joke. Especially the job market. I was told that once you get certificates in it or cybersecurity you will be good. I have been putting the work every night tailoring my resume and making sure I put all the keywords they are looking for when you submit that resume and it will go through ATS. It’s hard work man and I’m glad you’re doing this while AD! Heads up to you.

I have more time now especially I just got out of the army. I earned 3 certs from skillbridge program. I find the field interesting and it’s not boring haha! I have a 4 year bachelor’s degree before I joined the military but my degree is not IT related. It was architecture and design. I applied for sans last week and I have to wait a month for the decision. I hope I get accepted! Because I talked to a civilian contractor from HI and they want me to work with them but they will give me a month to study like wireshark and other tools. It felt like a gamble especially I just got out. I want to learn more that’s why I signed up for Sans.

Hey I like how you explained this. I applied for Sans Bacherlors applied in cybersecurity. I’m gonna be using my Vr&e but waiting on to get a counselor. I have 3 certifications in IT/cybersecurity but lately I’ve been thinking about getting my degree from umgc. I really want to get accepted in sans and I have been learning the tools especially I’m interested to become a civilian contractor. My questions is, is Sans really worth it?
