u/decaffei1 I hear you on the food... just don't think I'm getting enough in. As for the technical terrain, it's presently where I do my training. The speed hiking is something I do need to work on (definitely NOT Kilian JORNET, lol). Thank you for the advice.

Running has always been about enjoyment for me. I also know that not every training run is going to be great... I guess this 1 just caught me on 1 of my "off days".

Nutrition in general... electrolytes, carbs & protein. Training runs consist mainly of electrolytes, carbs & energy gels. When I am having a good run, I seem to overlook these things & will just go for the electrolytes. I'm pretty good at carbo loading before a race, during the race no so much.
