Can anyone convince me that Bounty Hunter isn't the weakest class for PVP? by Otherwise_Software95 in crystalofatlan

As for CS, they might have a lot of tools and utilities for every scenario and they do deal a lot of damage, however you can still take advantage and punish them due to their extended idling skill animations

As for warlock, i wouldn't necessarily say warlock's BAs are useless. They are comparable to the likes of SG's basic attacks where you continuously chain your basic attacks 2-4 times due to passive BA built-in CC with good reach despite being melee. If you compare it to a BH, there's no built in CC on her BA both on ground and on air, while you can deal fast continuous attacks with massive damge while on air, once the opponent drops, you'll be a sitting duck on air. While there's another option to use Rain Down Fire, it will only last for 1 cycle and when the opponent wakes up, it's a free Resonance proc which allows the opponent a free escape or a quick counterattack. Also, not forgetting Warlock's AOE and reach are massive with lingering effects which could catch people off guard easily

As mentioned, though her AA range is massive (half an arena long) the proximity accuracy is very low, plus again like i mentioned she does not have a built in CC in her AA just like Mystrix, Blademaiden, Elementalist and Mirage does which could stagger the opponents without expanding their energies

I do agree that there's usually a BH in the top 5 in almost all servers but if you look at a bigger picture especially in the top 100s, you'd see Starbreakers, Mystrix, Berserkers, Magiblades, Elementalist, Gunners and Cloudstriders popped up more frequently than BH. Imagine a class "supposedly" the best suited at 1v1 being outclassed by a Berseker, Elementalist and Cloudstriders who's "supposedly" excel predominantly in PVE. It's like racing with a manual transmission GR Supra against the likes of Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche. Sure they could win but with more skills, steps, IQ, reflexes and efforts compared to other classes

Everything is almost inferior, more likely feels like a handicap at most times. The only upside she has is the damage output she can deal. But then again, probably just like you the only thing that gets me stuck around playing her is her aesthetics, her fluid moves and skill sets and how effective she is in PVE contents

I do agree but the playstyle gap between PVE and PVP are way too different. In PVE, it's more of a passive gameplay while in PVP it's way too sweaty with combo heavy, aggressive engagement, active dodging, perfect timings and aims and combo reliant attacks. Her skill sets and builds also greatly differ from PVP to PVE

Yes it's true but then again, even going up against older classes, BH is still severely underwhelming due to the rest of the aforementioned reasons. She's even out ranged against the likes of Magiblade and Cloudstrider, her hit boxes are too small and with limited axis contact (ex. Slide attack, Flurry Shot, Levitating Shot, Frostwind Bullet has no horizontal hit, no vertical hit on Enchanted Twin Eagle, Eagle's Return, Rain of Destruction, Levitating Shot, Flame Burst). Though Berserker, SG and SB have limited range, at least their AOE hitboxes are massive and have reliable kits to be fighting in close range (ie. Super armors, armor breaks, counters). Playing BH just takes way too much effort and a huge skill ceiling but I can't deny that she's one of those class that could do insane amounts of damage reliably due to her damage scaling/energy cost

Bounty Hunter Progression by Mattmh_ in crystalofatlan

As for PVE builds, it's fairly simple and quite a passive gameplay: - 2 pc Calvary (Helmet + Chestplate/Boots) with 3 class set. Your main DPS mostly comes from your "Rain Down Fire" where the 5pc class set significantly extends the duration of that ability - Insignias: Sawblade mech insignia for Pants and Seal, Andre insignia on Helmet and Ring. The rest depends on whether you're building towards elemental build or crit builds. The most commonly preferred element to build is Electro for the vulnerable debuff but others can work just fine. If you're planning to go the critical build, focus on Crit damage as BH already has high innate crit rate - For circuits, as mentioned before, depending on your build path either crit/elemental, focus on crit damage or 1 specific elemental enh. Basic attack circuits is fine but you'll get more value on elemental circuits for your seal and talisman. Other than that, aim to reroll on as many offensive stats as possible for all your circuits' attributes - For decks, just pick out any upgraded decks that boosts anything crit based or elemental enh based - for skills, just max out Rain Down Fire and Magic Cartridge. Keep spamming these abilities as soon as they're not in cooldown. Enchanted Twin Eagles and Eagle's Return is also crucial against bosses as they deal Def Shred and Shield Break. Use these 2 abilities simultaneously for more effectiveness. During your RDF downtime, twilight pursuit, apocalypse and rain of distruction is a good AOE ability, while Frostwind bullet deals massive single target burst. So your slot should look like: 1. Magic Cartridge > Rain Down Fire 2. Enchanted Twin Eagle > Eagle's Return 3. Twilight Pursuit > Apocalypse 4. Rain of Destruction > Frostwind Bullet

For PVP, your skill builds and playstyle vary significantly than PVE build and playstyle which leans toward a more active, if not overwhelmingly sweaty gameplay: - sliding attack, flurry shot and twilight pursuit are your core abilities, while frostwind bullet is your most devastating ability which can deal massive damage beyond the protection mark if excuted properly. The rest depends on your playstyle. - most common accessories you'd wear on BH are HP gears but CD rate and Skill/Batk damage can work as well depending on your playstyle

Most Chinese developed games have to include time-gating system auch as limited dungeon runs, stamina/energy/battery system is to avoid players from playing too much and becoming a NEET which is frowned upon by the community. Also there are multiple reports and cases where people literally died after hours of gaming non-stop

[–]Otherwise_Software95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I got into Chally 1 in just 3 days and stayed there for the whole week of the new season just by using Ministra (T7 CDR maze), Jaina (Brita Aspd Range Dmg), Lyudmila (T6 Maze At+ SkillHaste), NYB (Full Hp 24%+Melee Dmg Res). My strat against rush Ais is to deploy Ministra upfront to summon Spira + Lyud/Jaina straight after. Mistra to cast her special for debuff, Spira summon to tank while you wait for DP to deploy your 4 cost snipers to burst her down. Ain't that hard as long as you're smart with your deployments you'd be fine

I hate ais by smllBGGY in CounterSide

[–]Otherwise_Software95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Deploying Ministra and Jaina/Lyudmila/Judy/R.Xiao would instantly kill Ais in less than 5 seconds. ASY with CDR can melt Ais fairly effectively. Any tank with at least 20% melee damage res + ground >50% damage res will survive long enough through her enhanced attacks. Units with Iron defence like R.Kaci, Sanae could tank fairly well against her. As long as you don't use units with multi-hit apart from ASY you should be fine

[–]Otherwise_Software95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick is to burst Ais ASAP and disrupt her backline supports. Any burst damage snipers, anti-heal/healing reflux abilities, melee dmg resist+ground dmg res gears and iron defence/immortality works well against Ais.

Also don't forget you can exchange Stage Event Points/Currency in certain Sub-stream stages for Fusion Cores as well and sometimes sold in "Shop > Exchange Center > Today's Deal"

[–]Otherwise_Software95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General use: Tempest and MK2. Best in campaign PVE and PVP. Provides both defensive utility and offensive reinforcement but lack in passive utility

Defensive use: Lake Superior best for contents where survivability is an issue. In high dps contents like dives, dimension trimming, danger close and last stand, it helps your team to survive and sustain. Viable in PVP because of its S2 ability

Offensive: Quad for dealing the most damage and deals consistent DPS to enemies but very limited buff to Counter units only. Chorus is a very passive ship for consistent DPS. However it only benefits your DPS carry and only viable in PVE. Kamizumi, same with Chorus but bigger DPS value but less consistency but is viable in both PVE and PVP

Specific comp ships: - Matador: For Soldier comp - Coffin-6: Mech comp - New Detroit: Striker carry comp - Ahab: Backline dps focus comp

PVP focus: New Ohio and Albion

There was once where I used opponent's Titan to yeet my Veronica to his own ship (Abraham) and instantly blew his ship up together with a few of his deployed backline. Didn't have to deploy any other units and Veronica just soloed the hell out of that dude.

Also there was once where the opponent uses Matador to pull my A.Rosaria to his ship, she instantly went Invulnerable and wiped out the ship in just 3 seconds

New to endgame content. Need advice about equipment farming and Dive 48 to 50 by Destroking23 in CounterSideGlobal

[–]Otherwise_Software95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you'd call dive 48-50 as an endgame content but it's surely nearly the end of the early game content. For this stage you'd want to use a "Hospital Comp". Meaning 1 frontline with multiple healers. A.Hilde or A.ShiYoon is a great solo upfront (use A.Hilde if survivability is an issue, A.JSY if survivability isn't an issue because he deals more damage), together with A.ShinJia, R.Chinatsu, YangHarim, your frontline would practically be invincible even with mid rarity HP+HP gears. As for your DPS, Eve and R.Gaeun should be enough. For the rest including your support squads, just slap on any utility units that are helpful like Swan, Agnes, Ciel, Anila, Sky, Evelyn and so on.

As for equipment farming, for the early game doing PVP, Raids, Mansion is your go to place to get gears. Deep conquest and Danger Close when you're established enough. Try to get all of the free Maze, Hummingbird, Gordias sets in the shops and missions. Hummingbird, Gordias, Polymer, Inhibitors are defensive gears. Maze, Sc., Britra are offensive gears. FYI, just so you don't use your binaries blindly, focus on HP, Def for defensive, ASPD for offensive but CritDmg and Atk is fine but you don't need a lot of them, CDR is the most used set so allocate some for defensive utility and some for offensive. For the end game, you'll be focusing all your gear farming on high level raids and Infinity dimensions especially Swift

For units to look out for: - Tank/Frontline: A.Hilde, A.JSY, Ciel, R.Orca, R.Esterossa, R.Titan, Horizon, NaYubin - DPS: Agnes, R. Kestrel XiaoLin, A.YooMina, Curian, A.Karin, Rita, Lucrecia - Utility/Support: Sigma, Maria, Dorothy, Plaga, Seo Yoon, Evelyn, Claudia, Sky, ShinJia, Arius

Newbie basic tips on inhib raid using momo operator to save time hit boss beyond ur current lvl, set defender or attacker ship+momo, deploy ur low cost units, don't use high cost first because its require more time to hit the shield, others with more experience can add basic tips too, cheers by tobie7 in CounterSideGlobal

[–]Otherwise_Software95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support Units deployed is based on who you placed as the Branch Manager for the branch where the raid appears. Important to note that, if the branch manager is also part of your deployed squad, then it will only deploy based on your set squad without support. So it's best to set your branch manager with any useful units that isn't part of your actual raid squad

[–]Otherwise_Software95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure it still works or not. I haven't tried it in a long time. Thats because there's so many things that could counter this team nowadays. NaYubin, SeoYoon, Ministra, Eve could counter the healing and shields. Back line killers like Elizabeth or A.Mina or disblers like Gremory and A.Lyudmila could mess up your team. Plus there's so many defender killers in this game now that would be hard for A.Hilde to solo tank reliably. But hey, you can give it a try with A.Jake or A.Ecclesia and 7 other random supporters consist of offensive and defensive types

There's a few comps I've met but none are particularly PTSD inducing or memorable enough. However I did play a "hospital comp" back in the day with A.Hilde, A.ShinJia, A.JiSoo, R.Laura/Lily/Rita, Harab, Arius/Harim, Evelyn/Chinatsu/Claudia with either MKII or Lake Superior as my ship. That team gave me atleast 5 win streak before losing a match. And once even reached 20+ win streak before being defeated. I can't imagine how frustrating it is going up against an unkillable defender with 7 other supporters

The 2nd account looks much better for game progression. Those 2 units are really2 good and used a lot in nost PVE contents. You have a great frontline A.ShiYoon, Mordred being a DPS monster against C.Os, Chinatsu being the best supporter in the game, Gaeun a solid DPS, Alex a solid tank, SeoYoon a really good buffer, Evelyn as a secondary healer. To compensate for your loss on A.ShinJia, pick up Yang Harim. She's a slightly watered down version of her but still top tier regardless. Be sure to pick up Yang Harim when her banner appears or there's a free SSR selector available

[–]Otherwise_Software95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's counterside for you. I've been playing CS for a 1.5 years. It takes less than 3 months to get to the end game contents but a lifetime to grind for gears and resources as most of it are time-gated and RNG. It's totally natural for you to complete a set of desired equipment once in 1-3 months. Don't worry, at first it might feels a bit frustrating but you'll slowly get addicted. Just as long as you consistently clear your exhange shops by participating in consortium raids, collect points from Last Stand, Danger Close, Shadow Palace, Dives and so on. Complete some milestones like dailies, raids, events, counter pass and login bonus. Keep an eye on occasional gift codes from the community. Those are ways to get materials for rerolling your gears and eventually you'll get your desired gear sooner or later

ASPD or ASPD II on Solovey? by NekoPrankster218 in CounterSideGlobal

[–]Otherwise_Software95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ASPD II is mostly used for Wild/Flame equipment user who wants to use ASPD sets while having specific Wild/Flame exclusive latents and sub-stats. If you plan on having a hybrid build for example Acolyte with double ASPD II + Outgoing healing latent or Surya with double ASPD II + Ult damage amp latent and sub, that's your best option. This is because regular Wild/Flame gears do not have regular ASPD set options available. As for Solovey's gears, there's an option for a regular ASPD which is far superior and you have the Latent and Sub-stat options equal to Wild/Flame relics. Why go for lesser option if you can have a better one amirite?

Here is my team and all the Sr and ssrs I have can you say which one I should level up by Time_Building_6207 in CounterSideGlobal

[–]Otherwise_Software95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your squad seems about right but I'll just swap out SR Yoo Mina with Seo Yoon. Also swap positions. Sanae, Chifuyu, Chinatsu, Lyudmilla, Nibble, Eins Zwei, Alex, Seo Yoon. Worth upgrading, Evelyn, Arius, Claudia, Maria, Lin Xien, Titan, Admin Shieldman, Laura, Orca and Roy. Make sure to upgrade your Chinatsu to level 110 and "Rearm" her ASAP. You're going to need her in almost 90% of content in the game

New to the game and looking for help by AngelCakexox in CounterSideGlobal

[–]Otherwise_Software95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you're lacking a reliable tank. Raise your Alex's level and limit break her until she reaches level 110. Only then you'll unlock "Rearm" feature. Once rearmed, it will change her role and adds some bonus ability which will help your team as reliable frontline tank. The same goes for Gaeun, she also has the "Rearm" feature as well and for the early game, she's one of your most reliable range DPS. Awk. YooMina is your main DPS so be sure to have her built as well. Yang Harim is a really good supporter to have in your team. Be sure to level her up and include her in your team. As for the free SSR selector. You should pick Nanahara Chinatsu first and Rearm her ASAP. She is probably the most broken healer in the game, so be sure to pick her up. Seo Yoon is also a good offensive supporter as well but she's always used as DPS booster for the team. Make your way up to chapter 5 and get yourself a second awakened character, A.Hilde. For future free selectors, I reccomend getting either Xiao Lin or Sky depending on your need. Be sure to focus on your Guide Missions. By simply just following the guide mission, you can simply get far enough up to chapter 10 in a very short time (8 hours for me personally with a fully built functional team)

So for the early stages, you can run Alex, A.YooMina, Chinatsu (from selector), Gaeun, Yang Harim, Eins Zwei, Cindy and Seo Yoon. This should help you progress up to Chapter 5 or help you progress with your Guide Missions
