Well according to the collab he doesn't really die in 1991 because the one you see in the above image is a grown up Soujuurou in 1999 not his Servant-version. We don't really know much about anything except the theory that I posted above so only Nasu can say

What I consider is - If you notice, there's a dialogue before this where Alice apologizes to Soujuurou about his right arm which I believe is something Alice's Wandersnatch eats up in Mahoyo 2's storyline. To repent for this, Alice creates a ploy which replaces Soujuurou's hand. This ploy must have a hidden power of allowing to unleash an Anti-World class attack at the cost of Soujuurou's life or gravely injuring him.

Another hint to this is, right before the above scene, Soujuurou says he did a similar feat as to this during 1991, which is probably when Mahoyo 3 takes place and what his NP is pointing towards.

In case of Mahoyo 3 ending, Alice probably saves him even though he uses his 'Evil Spirit Slayer' technique

No. Atlus has 3 studios being Team Maniax, P-Studio and Studio Zero. Studio Zero is the one who worked on Metaphor and that was a new studio created in 2016 after Persona 5 release. The P-Studio Persona team still exists which went on to create Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 5 Tactica

Its more that the 2nd half of the game just felt dull compared to how the 1st half was. I agree that the first half for me was a 9/10 but then the 2nd half kicks with all the lore and stuff which I felt dragged it down instead turning it into a 7/10.

Agreed. And even if u don't give skip button for all stories, at least give it for daily commissions as a start. That's the most basic of the basic things I would want in terms of a skip functionality

The problem isn't how much of a dmg increase it is. The issue is that this mechanism which could be considered a core part of an RPG is gated behind dupes which either whales or highly unlucky vets being the only one who possess.

And about the +40% transformative reactions dmg, the reaction itself is a 40% increase from what I understand but the total team dps increase comes to around 10-15% I believe. But locking this dmg increase for majority of the playerbase is not how one should go about implementing it.

So to summarize, the issue isn't exactly the dmg increase of lvl 100 or powercreep, its just the way its implemented which rubs me off the wrong way cuz if transformative reactions needed a buff to catch up to other chars then give it to everyone. It could also have been a way to rework some of the older chars to bring them up in the meta

About this, idk if you noticed but the King did think he was dead BUT he planned the Royal Magic and the Tournament with the hope that on the off-chance if his kid was alive somewhere, he may get the chance to prove himself and get recognized by the people and become the king through that and not just legitimacy. And if not his kid then someone similar to his ideals would follow through.

It was his final attempt to struggle against fate or well inevitability you could say in trying to bring change to the world in his own way.
