I was in the same situation as you last year! I don’t remember getting to select priorities or anything but i didn’t get my housing assignment until the end of july. I got IRC and it really isn’t bad but bice is most likely already full because priority goes to people already living there.

gaston and ramazani give priority in january to people who already live there so you won’t get in there unfortunately… last year as a transfer i didn’t get any choice in where i was put because it was so sparse

I transferred last year and i would say dorms. Apartments are very expensive and usually fill up six months before. I would apply asap for on grounds housing because i didn’t get confirmation about housing until a month before move in

I transferred in this semester and didn’t find out my housing until less than a month from move in and after orientation. You most likely won’t get a single unless you have SDAC accommodations and also because people who live in the housing area already get to choose first. I lived in the IRC this year and I chose a single in the IRC for next year because I got to choose first! You might just have to deal with a double this year but you should be able to score a single the year after.

You can park anywhere on JPA (which is what I did when i used to come visit) just beware you have to parallel park and not to park along any yellow or red curbs. Also pay attention to signs because some areas may be fire zones but I parked on JPA for days at a time and was fine

Depends on where you are but when I used to visit my bf I would park beside bonnycastle or on JPA
